It's a shame that SMtown kicked her out unilaterally without seeing Jessica's struggles as a trainee for years and finally debuted in 2007 with SNSD. I think SMtown has arranged for this to happen, yes they tried to forcibly stop SNSD by breaking them up one by one and finally now it's really happening, they did that maybe because the members are getting old and there must be a successor
The girls almost in tears during this live, except for Taeyeon. But that doesn't mean she's not sad. SONE know how Taeyeon is. She never show everyone her weak side. She didn't cry in front of everyone. As a leader she thought that she should be strong for her girls. I hate it when antis said she's not sad with what happened at all. SONEs who have been with SNSD since the beginning that Jessica is one of Taeyeon's closest friends. Just want to point that out. A lot of people were blaming Taeyeon with Jessica's departure.

I think SNSD group ballads are their best genre because of their harmonization and expressive delivery, whether they sing in Korean, Japanese, or English.

jessica actually cried during filming this mv. they knew back then that this was jessica's final mv with them and they had this mv as a goodbye to jess... best of tokyo dome was the goodbye concert to jessica. you can spot a tear if you look closely in the mv when jess sings the we are always one part! this broke our hearts years ago and till today we still have rupture hearts due to this era...

This was supposed to be her goodbye song. She was to go on hatius following Tokyo Dome to focus on her fashion line. That was the plan then something happened.
This was supposed to be Jessica's goodbye song for fans. She wanted to leave the group so they planned a goodbye for her departure. She supposed to tell the fans at Tokyo Dome that she is leaving. And Catch Me If You Can was the last gift from Jessica to fans they were going to release the song on Tokyo Dome. But Jessica changed her mind and said to SM i don't want to leave anymore. Which made SM angry and they suddenly kicked her because they planned everything already. That's why after these events, they made another MV for Catch Me If You Can and released as normal single. On youtube you can find Jessica version of Catch Me If You Can too it's real thing.

You know, there’s a story version of Divine MV. There are nine girls in that MV like GG. Especially the story shows the relationship between Taeyeon and Jessica.. it really hurts.. you must check.
ugh soshi ballads are so sad. my favourite are complete, dear mom, divine, mistake, perfect etc. i highly recommend u react to their 10th anniversery performance. they did throwback performances for their fans for "kissing you" and "ohh la la". seeing the original performances will be important as well since you can see their growth. Another favourite performance of mine is "best friend". just the song lyrics plus choreo makes that song so wholesome for me and they looked so happy while performing it.
When "Divine" MV was filmed, it had already been decided that Jessica was going to leave, but it was planned to be a more gradual exit. What happened to hasten it, to the infamous vote and immediate ouster, and resulting social media bombshell announcement by Jessica, no-one outside the industry will ever know.
Im into kpop since 2008, only because of GIRLS' GENERATIONS and their incredible harmonization... Although i know other kpop artists by name but actually, i never listen to them. Btw, some said she planned to have hiatus after their supposed OT9 Tokyo Dome (so she could focus on the release of her clothing brand Blanc and Eclaire) so divine is her gift before hiatus and Catch me If you can Japanese vers. Is Tokyo Dome Gift. Then her sudden departure right before the Tokyo Dome event happened. So they remade the CMIYC Korean without her. Thats why there is a Japanese version leaked on internet.
No she never planned to leave, everyone were naturally focusing on solo and sub unit activities. She renewed her contract just like the others and never let her business interfere with snsd activities. People just made up the hiatus thing as a way to defend the other members for kicking her out and put the blame on Jessica even though there was never any evidence of her ever doing anything wrong or stating that she wanted to leave the group.
