Divine performance in Tokyo Dome hits hard especially when Tiffany cover Jessica's part. It really heartbreaking to watch. Sica wants to perform in Tokyo Dome so it so sad.

There's a rumor coming from insider that this song was supposed to be Jessica's 'goodbye song' before taking her planned hiatus to focus more on her business but unfortunately, things went wrong and turns out she had to leave the group.

It is really sad that we can't see Jessica singing that part.

2008-SONE here. I find it really lovely that younger generations of K-pop fans are discovering and learning the history of SNSD/Girls-Generation. I just want to ask new K-pop fans to look into the fan history [Soshified] that was built upon this well-loved girl group. The group accepted what happened to the girls regardless of the controversies, supported their relationships and rehabilitated those who hated their boyfriends, avoided fan-wars and promoted discovery and taking care of the new girl-groups and their fans. SNSD isn't the top in terms of numbers nowadays, but through the years that they were active they were respected, well-loved, and regarded as a pillar of influence in the entertainment scene. The girls, during their private time, also supported many endeavours, artists, charities, and businesses. I hope more people learn from what these girls went through, like how the next-generation K-pop artists/idols look up to our girls as their role-models in their respective performances and agencies.

Remember it well, one moment SM WAS OK, then next Jessica was gone, SM blamed the girls, they saying Jessica wasn't doing her job, but that was proved wrong. SM accused Jessica of using her position in SNSD to promote her business.

I'm glad you were a civil fan with songs that contain Jessica. As a big fan, I came across many haters that just attacked Tiffany's vocals in a lot of the songs and that snsd are nothing without Jessica. I also prefer with all of them. Even Gee (acoustic version) , I prefer all than ot5. But I've always supported the girls and told those haters that Tiffany did an amazing job covering Sica's parts. And like you mentioned, Tiffany has a husky voice so it adds a new flavor to the song. I will always support the girls and whatever songs they sing, but of course I always listen to the original version when listening to music. There's still another Japanese song called "Bad Girl" with an mv if you want to check it out. The concept is biker chick. The mv quality is also bad too. I like the song but what makes me sad is YoonA not having any lines in it :(

Pretty sure Divine was originally supposed to be Jessica's graduation song for the Tokyo dome concert. Which is why it's somewhat sad and melancholy and about taking a journey together and paths separating.

As a Sone that experience this era, this song release hits very differently. I remember this MV was released together with an album DVD (that’s why it was not released officially in RU-vid) a few days after Jessica left. I remembered watching this MV (haven’t healed from the shocking news of Jessica leaving) with a very broken heart without knowing what really happened. Seeing Jessica sing “We are always one” really hurts us sone that time. There’s also a fancam of a fanmeet a day after Jessica left, where all the audience shouts Jessica’s name because they don’t know what really happened, and the girls are all just crying, and most of Jessica’s singing parts are left not sung. That’s also heartbreaking. Thanks for this video! It is hard to watch, and I don't like to remember those years cuz sunny looked soo sad/serious/emotionless and I felt that wasn't her, but is obvious why she was like that, those were hard times :(

Divine is actually semi-official OST for Jessica's departure. It has another Story Version MV with soryline about 1 girl saying goodbye to her other 8 friends disguised with a girl to girl love story. No Soshi members, only actors and actresses. This MV is released just days before Jessica's departure. We were like "Woah, beautiful song with interesting storyline. Love it!", then days after we were really really shocked by the news of Jessica's departure. But SM Ent. gave no statement related to that MV. In the BTS we can see that the girls are forcing and faking their laugh and smiles (not as happy as usual). I personally think all the girls except Jessica already know the situation. If i'm not mistaken, some girls look like they had been crying with those swollen eyes. We were really craving for 9 members live performance of this performance but sadly it will never happen. TBH Yoona's pure voice at the end of the live performance, substituting Jessica, so beautiful and makes it more painful 😢

This is one of my favorites. And this is the first time I watched somebody react to. Thanks Austin you're the best. And the MV looks like the story/departure about our ice princess Jessica. I cried a lot because she was my bias ❄️👑❤️

I can't stop crying when I see Tiffany singing the Jessica parts, it's so sad 😭. I believe that Tiffany did the best that she could, I cannot even imagine for all the pain that she felt in those moments. I also prefer the original version, Jessica's voice conveys too many emotions for me compared to when the girls did those parts (I'm not saying they did it wrong, it's just very different).

I have said it before and I'll say it again, SNSD SOUND SO MUCH BETTER WITH JESSICA. She completes their songs and the 8 voices of the members. I've been a Sone since 2009 but I did not appreciate her voice until she left. When she left, that's when I realized that SNSD was unstoppable bcos of the 9 girls and their voices combined.

One of my favorite songs from SNSD, so sad that Jessica didn’t get to perform it live though as she really made that song really special, but props to tiffany for singing her parts (Even her voice crack suited it for some reason) But nothing will beat the ot9 version ❤️

If you pay attention to this song, jessica was a very important part in Divine, so that's why it feels rare without her cause she really had standout parts on this, again, cause this was her moment to say goodbye as planned. Divine was meant to be Jessica's goodbye to sone japan cause this was released in the middle of their greatest hits album to close the group contract as 9 there. I think their vocals were in their peak for this one, my favourite ballad from the Queens forever.

It's hard not to cry hearing these song like ALL THE TIME. 💔

Fact: There is a MV story version with Japanese actors on UNIVERSAL Music Japan channel. There are sone's theories that the MV story is about SNSD and especially about Taengsic (Taeyeon + Jessica). One (sad) fact: All girls dream was performing on Tokyo Dome together as 9, but unfortunately Jessica wasn't with them anymore

Divine was supposed to be Jessica's goodbye song prior her hiatus from the group to focus on her individual career in fashion design. Then that event happened.

I guess I've never watched them perform divine live... Ohhhh when Tiffany breaks down at the end... 😭 she was one of Jessica's BFFs...

From what I remember reading was that Jessica was supposed to go on hiatus because she was starting her own brand with the blessing of Sm and the girls and this was supposed to be her goodbye song for sones and the girls. And she was supposed to be able to come back but things change.

As much as Toyko Dome was an EPIC Concert. Sunny dull eyes disturbed the shit out of me. I wasn't used to her being like this and my heart was troubled. Sunny is supposed to be the Energizer Bunny something that was missing from Tokyo Dome. Late 2014-2016 was bad for the girls and Sone.

I think they were zoomed in tight because they really only had that one set on the train car and the director wanted to slowly reveal it. Also it's what the fans wanted after the Mr. Mr. MV fiasco. Only Austin wouldn't have noticed the girls spent half the video appearing to be topless, very similar to After School's "First Love" which came out a year earlier.

Divine is my other SNSD favorite song along with All My Love For You. Divine always makes me emotionally sad.
