It's better to be close and pressure them which could lead to a mistake, a steal, a bad off balanced shot, and can frustrate them and cause mistakes from the mental aspect. Backing off and giving them room is just letting them get clear looks and more room to get more momentum on their drive to the cup.
@@sdeniadaha6989 I'd rather force the jumpshot then allow the easy layups, because the jumpshot and a layup are still worth 1 point, and a sharp shooter can still miss a shot. she should give him space but I didn't mean too much space. in a 5 on 5 match-up I completely agree because there's your teammates to rely on so more pressure is less risky In the end she's still too slow and playing how she did would just end up in another 11-4 game (or whatever the score was)

Ask all those people who their favorite WNBA player is along with the team name and stats. I guarantee you none of 'em will get to the stats, but a few might know a player or two and the team name. I'll bet you they don't watch every single game of their favorite player. And in their league, there are significantly less games played in a much shorter season. Also, it is boring as hell. Their are also way more female strip clubs than male strip clubs. We all know the reason. You entertain us sexually first and foremost. That's an evolutionary response. Athleticism is entertaining because males are naturally competitive and enjoy the camaraderie among other things. Men happen to possess the need to be significantly more athletically skilled for one of many reasons. The woman has to carry the baby. The man must hunt for food in order for the family to stay alive. This was how it was for millennia. So these instincts remain. This and much more. To deny reality is to live in absolute absurdity. Male bones are bigger & have higher contents of calcium making them stronger. Males have a higher number of red blood cells meaning there's typically increased supply of oxygen & nutrients to tissues. Men have far higher amount of natural testosterone (a steroid hormone) which gives them a distinct edge. That's why it's insanity for males who transitioned to play female sports because they have an undeniable edge.

A females’ naturally-attainable physical profile does not match up with a males’, so she is not able to perform these moves with the same ferocity or explosiveness that a male could. A female can still be excellent at basketball, but just not to the same standard that a male could.
I don't watch it, but to be fair I've seen some highlights of games where it appears they have good crowds. I mean courtside seats might be 5 bucks lol but some people just like watching because they love the sport and competition to see who's the best relative to other women and don't compare.

I don’t know anything about basketball and I’m a girl and this girl I already knew would lose because she’s a girl. We always lose at sports more than boys and if you put a girl to vs a boy well even the boy with less experience will win which is pretty upsetting lol
Yeah there are a couple of factors as to why. First of all, its biology, second of all its putting women in their own league. If you play against worse players all the time you wont be able to compete against the best. Finally its a numbers game. Men statistically tend to have a higher standard deviation than women which puts them in the upper echelon of things while the women remain closer to the bell curve. That said, girls are still pretty cool and bring lots of value in other ways so dont feel too bad

You're shorter than him and have no chance of blocking his shot. The only defense you can play in this situation is scrappy defense which means lots of body contact and make the ref call push off fouls or the ball pops out because his handles are still weak. Giving him space and avoiding contact will only mean you lose
