But some people have the more western mindset of “I don’t want anyone else to wear my colour on my wedding day” so they will ask their guests to not wear red, which should be respected ofc

@@KidFlash11606 I mean as someone who was a huge weirdo weeb as a teenager and now indulges in mangas, manhwas and webtoons, it comes across as pretty weird and pathetic when people brag about watching the most common popular thing and then questions your "authenticity" and force you to watch it. (I'm not joking, when I was younger the amount of guys that said how come I watch animes and didn't watch whatever the popular one they watched even if it was not a genre I would watch, they would then proceed to call me not a true anime fan as if that's a thing)

For me it's the toxic attitude. For some weird reason I had this dislike towards a particular girl in my class who was very well regarded and popular. I don't think it was her I disliked but rather the fact that she seemed to be so put together and capable. I eventually realised that I was projecting a lot of resentment onto her because I felt incredibly envious of how capable she was. I'm neurodivergent and my mental health issues were sometimes so disabling that I would miss classes. I felt like I had to work harder than everyone else just to keep up and this girl was just a reminder of everything I couldn't be. No, I didn't want to be girly and popular like her but I wanted to be a powerhouse like her. Over time I realised how dumb I was being and that she's not responsible for my insecurities. Besides, she wasn't living life on easy mode. She was the way she was because she grew up in a family that was very competitive and put a lot of pressure on her to succeed. Poor girl had the stress levels of a woman in her 30's before she turned 16. I eventually grew out of being a jealous, vindictive cunt and quietly admired her tenacity and drive. She's the bad bitch that inspired me, as much as my teenage self would hate to admit it.
