I agree. Girls has gotten stronger with each season. For me, the wedding episode, the Tokyo episodes, Marnie & Charlie's reunion, and the Kitty Genovese episode were some of the year's best television. I'm sorry that the show is ending, but glad the ending is being carefully planned, since it does have to end (as all shows do, eventually).

It's almost as though you didn't even hear Lena's interview...these characters are reflective of women today- not so much immature and loser-ish, but complicated, tough, vulnerable and have the flexibility to move through the 20s having a smidge of pride and fun and sensibility towards the society that is thrown at us today...I think it's an amazingly accurate portrayal..and I'm 45
Cheryl Lynne no they really arent. They all have their parents pay for their bills. No one rarely works. Hanna is too unstable to attend college, or work in any environment, she is just like lena in real life- went to Oberlin college, is crazy, over weight & craves constant attention- all in her own words. Much like her admitting to molesting her sister - all in her own words. She tried to sue for slander but couldnt do shit because they were direct quotes. She is soooo off the charts crazy. She used her parents $, mimicked their lives & fooled many into thinking she has actual talent. She should just paint penises & vaginas like her dad.
Not surprised that "Girls" is ending. Season 1 was fun, but Seasons 2 & 3 were terrible, and even though Season 5 is slowly making up, it is clearly too late to win all the viewers back, and so the network was probably behind the decision to make Season 6 its final one more than Lena lets on. Looking forward to the show ending on a high note! XOXO ;)

How can she really believe her show Is realistic because her character has to share her Brooklyn apartment with a roomate and another character lives in a "tiny apartment in Chinatown" ??? The women on the show are complicated but not all of them are that interesting. I don't find Marnie the slightest bit interesting. Shoshonna is weirdly charming but not exactly interesting. Jessa is interesting but intolerable. Hannah goes back and forth. She can be interesting but also really trifling.
