A police helicopter only goes like max 270 km/h and runs out of fuel quickly. So a fast car can outrun a helicopter. But today helicopters have all kinds of advanced camera tech that can track a car that is miles away, so you can't escape as easily even if you go 300+ km/h.
I had the one under wrx I just love them and brought one cause my mum had a gc8 first time seeing ghost rider but I have seen the subaru vs cops one @@__1t__1__r3
Too right mate, this guy is just amazing, fucking epic. His skill and that car, no wonder they never caught him. GhostRider, im not gay, but i love you.
they stopped making the STI , cant believe subaru would do that, gonna go and hunt a gc8 turbo and fully build that baby, the WRX sound became so popular, was so rare to hear 10 years ago, now u hear it all the time, but in another 10 years, it wil be rare to hear again no doubt...
How did I not give this a like 10 years ago when I had an rb320 and was ripping it around Manchester. 170mph on the m62 towards Huddersfield/Leeds and screaming through Burnage, Kingsway, Stockport, Prestwich, Didsbury 😂🤣😂
Not necessarily, you don't know if that helicopter has equipped a thermal camera, and even if he has one, ghost rider does 90º turns often, the helicopter can't make turns very fast very often fast and less if the pilot doesn't want to risk himself. And you also know that a lot of police helicopters use IR camera only at night
The average crown vic has around 250 at the motor not wheels and the new Chargers in some states have around 350 at the motor. Even then police cruisers are governed at 151 mph max. So unless its some sort of anti-street racing task force. They would catch him, due to interstate databases and helicopters no doubt. But police are still established to "protect" the public, and they deem if it gets over 150mph then its unsafe to chase.
A couple of things I have noticed, an average helicopter can do about 160MPH and doesn't have to worry about crashing into many things up there so I would be very surprised if any vehicle could outrun one on the normal roads. According to his speedo he was doing about 120MPH when it was visible so not that fast really. Just a final thing, I am sure there are more if I didn't get bored of watching it, there was a claim of the lights being switched off to somehow hide form the helicopter yet the street lights were all blaring but ignoring that fact his dash is fully illuminated. I must check my Sccoby to see if it can do that :-o
Scoobie Floz little protip. If you choose to run you can turn your headlights off completely on the older cars (I own a 06) once the headlights are turned off nothing will illuminate until you hit the breaks. So, what we do when running is either have a light bar attached to the front of the car on a completely separate switch OR you just pull in the headlight knob to use your high beams. Nothing else will flash on the car. ;) 💯
I dont know what kinda vision you have, but the glare from his headlights was not vissible when it was mentioned he turned them off, and he clearly was on the end of his speedometre, and that is 260km/h. That is 161 miles per hour, and the speed kept on increasing after he reached the bottom of his speedometre,so i would say he was closer 170 miles per hour, maybe even faster. But either way this is madness!!! Risking the life of so many people is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Old scoobys are geared quite long, my 03 non turbo forester will hit 150mph with a couple of mile run yet the speedo only goes to 120... for the fact hes in a minimum of a tuned wrx I'd say he managed atleast 190 in this video but with a long enough run 200 is possible
My scooby is around 350 at the crank and it dosnt drive or sound like this, to me it has that stroker sound, wouldn't be suprised if it has 400-450 at the crank?
You know what I wanna know? How the hell does he get gas? He can't just drive around in that car and go to any gas station. Does he just fill up a bunch of gas cans or fill up another car and siphon it out for his night vehicles? These are the logical things my stupid ass thinks about.
Small correction - The highest speed limit in sweden is 120, and you lose your licence if you exceed that by 30kph. Other than that you're entirely correct. There is no way in hell any ploy like that would be accepted here.
