I’m SO interested in DRAKE!!! I already knew Beyoncé looks 100000% diff from the destiny child era (she first came out when I was a teenager and MTV/BET was my jam) but these drake pics!!! Are you afraid of doing black people now? Since Doja Kat? That’s a shame, if so, bcuz we all know that anyone that comes in the Hollywood eye (aside from comedians.. and even then, the women still get work done) has to appeal to “European beauty standards “ it’s all garbage. The beautiful thing about people is how diff they look. I wanted my nose done for YEARS! Even before my boobs… I don’t know I’ll get it done.. bcuz I’m light skinned w freckles, and only very Spanish/Brasilian people know that I am what I am BECAUSE of my nose and my figure (fake boobs aside) also when I speak… but still.. passing me on the street… you’d just think I was white, blonde, bimbo w a nice rack. KEEP YOUR ETHNICITY PEOPLE!! It makes you DIFFERENT! And being different is BEAUTIFUL
I think it would be great if you could do a series on 90s supermodels like Christy, Naomi, Kate or Linda. They are often referrred to as the 'classical beauties' and juxtaposed as superior to more 'modern' models who had some procedures done - maybe falsely?
Most people wouldn’t call Kate a classic beauty. Plastic surgery is not new and to assume that models or actors did not get it in the 90s but most do now is ridiculous.
I find it frustrating that Giselle might be considered curvy. Her body shape is a rectangle (same as Heidi Klum - another rectangle who's considered "curvy"), and the only curves she's ever had came from breast implants. I know people want to be complimentary, but it shouldn't come at the cost of the truth.
I actually met her in person when I worked for Four Seasons in Toronto. It’s untill you are standing right in front of her you understand why she is a supermodel. Her body is insane, long, thin yet toned and sweet Jesus she takes your breath away. I was completely floored.
I would love to see more models being featured. Elsa Hosk is an example of someone who denies plastic surgery when it’s obvious. Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel have also gotten some obvious work done too. And pretty much every ‘80s/‘90s supermodel as well. I know Lorrie discussed Linda and Naomi here before.
@@mariamrz6018 Yeah I think it's unfair that Bella is the only sister that gets the heat when Gigi must have had some work done on her face too. I mean their mother is Yolanda so go figure. I wouldn't even be surprised if their brother Anwar was also being "altered" at some point in his life.
I remember when Janice Dickson used to have her own show and she said something about Gisele needing a nose job , I just laughed because she is obviously insecure about herself and Gisele been one of the highest paid models out there who was able to do both commercial and high end modeling and like you said she looks the same her face and her nose are hers .
It’s nice to see extremely tasteful surgeries done that really don’t change the way she looks and simply restore her youth instead of changing her features. 😊
Gisele Bundchen is a gorgeous in every way. I believe that her plastic surgery seems subtle if you look close enough. Apart from that, her radiant glow never falters. She’s been through a lot, but she’s a lot happier now that she’s got her own family and is technically owning a massive fortune. Good for her.
Yes, I agree, such a beautiful and striking woman. She’s been making me have an appreciation for my nose recently. I heard the news about her and Tom. I hope they can work things out or that she can be happy.
I don’t find her pretty at all. It was weird that she was the highest earning model, over someone like Adriana Lima who is beautiful. Taylor Hill is gorgeous, Gisele is average looking.
@@czarina5413 Modelling isn't just about who's most pretty. Adriana and Taylor Hill may be more conventionally attractive and obvious but Gisele blows them away with her high fashion work and presence on the runway.
@@iamshadowbanned699 But it is about your look. Gisele didn’t really blow them away with her work or presence on the runway. It’s just one of those things that you can’t quite explain.
I think Gisele's rhinoplasty is so absolutely natural looking, but like you said, more refined. It doesn't scream "Hollywood" and completely fits her face. Overall, I think the plastic surgery that she has had done is so natural looking and beautiful. She looks very exotic and beautiful in her own right.
I'm really curious about what you mean when you refer to her look as exotic, because I've received the same compliment and I wasn't sure which part of me is otherworldly, haha. Not offended in the least, though!
Gisele's rhinoplasty is definitely my goals, and what I've shown doctors during consultations. (I decided against a rhinoplasty for now for finance reasons.) I absolutely idolized her look, especially her "horse-clomp" trademark strong walk. The era of the Brazilian supermodels was a great one, in my opinion. Ana Beatriz Barros is to this day one of the most naturally stunning women I have ever seen in my life. I'm obsessed with her. That being said, at the time I never had any illusions that these women were still extremely thin!!
Ana is stunningggg and has features that are typically brazilian, I love that. Sadly the most famous brazilian models resemble european people (with the exception of Adriana, who came from the same city as me
Usually I feel like a lot of these celebs look so good after their first round of plastic surgery and then they just go overboard, but I actually think Gisele looked best naturally. Her original nose was so perfect. I always think if I had my nose done it would look weird being smaller or shorter or more upturned, and Gisele is a perfect example of that
I think whatever procedures she had only accentuated her natural beauty. She’s not a conventional, classic beauty like Christy Turlington or Yasmin Le Bon but there is something about her that makes her gorgeous. She was always my favourite VS Model 💕
@@MegaTinni she didn't wear burca in the name of Islam nor fir modesty reasons. The least she could have done is wear it rightly in accordance to modesty laws instead she wore it with sandal. That's shady af
@@bebebongBaebae Love it! She enhanced it :) The only appropriate way to wear burka is when and how the woman wants to. So she did perfecrly in my opinion.
As someone born with hooded eyes and a bigger nose, looking at Gisele has always given me a confidence boost because she looks absolutely stunning with her unique features! 😊 Thank you so much for including your little praise of hooded eyes - it made me feel a lot better about mine 😊
I'm still insecure about my hooded eyes, especially since I don't have money to fix when I'm older and can't wear beautiful eye shadow looks. But the do look great on her.
@@melimel2990 Me and the other girlies are imitating what you have naturally. Hooded eyes look like natural eyeliner. Theyre beautiful But I get that it must be frustrating to work with eyeshadow and the likes 😟 Mine are only slightly hooded and they already put up a fight.
@@mashaa.7509 Actually I found a celeb makeup artist on RU-vid that shows techniques on how to do eyeshadow looks with hooded eyes. I can't wait to use all my eyeshadow palettes that are just sitting there looking pretty lol. I already mastered the cat eyeliner. Thank you for your lovely comment 😄
@@Ana-xq3yr omg I agree. I hate the upturned look. There's a famous doctor in Turkey who makes them all look like miss piggys. And I have a natural upturned piggy nose. It took me so long to love it and it's beautiful but not everyone needs that nose. Each nose should be designed to fit the persons face. Not a trend!!
I love the fact that she is trying to keep her looks as natural as possible, just adjusting some places that are changing with age, but nothing too extreme. She used to be my idol back when I was a child, I wanted to become a model like her so I studied.
I screamed when you said " Gisele is a Flamboyant Natural" like omgg yessss, loved that you know about kibbe body type, makes to me your analise more and more accurate. Lots of love, from your brazilian fan
I loved to see a Brazilian between your celebrities' reviews! Being someone from the south of Brazil, I particularly love Gisele and believe these procedures have really enhanced her natural beauty traits.
Oi Sophia!
put it like this: would she have been as successful, if she had NOT had her nose done? would she have survived as a VS model if she had NOT had breast implants? Think about it - go figure. Why did she have that stuff done IF SHE DIDN'T NEED IT? Go figure.
GB's beauty is natural and unattainable. From the Brazilian era, she wasn't my favorite but still we cant deny she deserved her spot on the runway and most importantly, she had a natural look. The surgeries she had are supplemental to what was already there and that's fine but she never changed her identity and overall look. Her nose is the perfect example and it came out perfect which is the point. For her age, she looks amazing like if she's still in her 20s but she still looks like herself.
Here in Europe you can get both procedures (breast augmentation+eyelid) for 11.000 euros in a pretty decent hospital or clinic). All beauty procedures are much cheaper than in the US.
Yes but would she go to a 'pretty decent' hospital? I think she'd go to the best in Paris, I think you can ad to the price although it probably wouldn't reach Beverly Hills price🤔 And even less so Dr Kao's price 😅🤣 that surgeon is expensive
i love her hooded eyes. they are so gorgeous! they’re almost otherworldly, as they make her look so unique with that beautiful ocean-teal colour as well. i also love how so many of the pictures you showed were of her completely makeup-less. it was really nice to see!
Gisele’s star power is beyond just her looks. It’s her walk, her personality, her values, her love of nature and Brazil, her confidence, the package. What an icon.
In the before pic she was like 20 years younger, ofc you ‘prefer’ her then lol. Ppl need to understand that holding on your beauty through surgeries not only for the industry you work in because it somehow a ‘must/need’, it’s also for your mental health. Being praised since you’re young and having a career based on beauty surely makes you more sensitive to aging signs than the average person. And with all these, different procedures have to be done at different times so it doesn’t look like a drastic change. No matter what procedures she had done, I personally don’t think they’re far from her natural beauty, it’s like conservative producedures. She s pretty much a beast
0:53 wait? What? Lol what about her native language Portuguese? I don’t think she speaks Spanish tho! Here in Brazil we speak Portuguese! Anyways, Gisele is a true definition of beauty! Not only outside but inside too! She’s kind, loving and very spiritual! Very down to earth! I know she’s a German descent (like many in the south of Brazil) but definitely have the Brazilian soul and energy in her! Loooove her!
I remember I didn't think that Gisele was beautiful back in the end of the 90s. I have to admit though, now that I am older, that she is very fascinating. I wouldn't have noticed these procedures on her -with the exception of the breast implants, she surely didn't need any of them. As always, thank you Lorry for this video, it's always extremely relaxing listening to you! Love from Italy ♥️
She is radiant. Beautiful both before and after. It's intresting that despite her strong features she radiates such a feminine energy. Her face is very balanced in that regard. Large nose, prominent cheek bones but feminine face it's an oval slash heart shape that is narrower at the bottom. And her eyes are very soft and gentle and she has the most beautiful hair! That juxtaposition of strong and soft features makes her look so balanced. The surgeries just gave her a tiny bit more symmetry and refinement but the girl was already perfect imo.
This is a very interesting example because she still looks very natural! All very well done procedures. The only thing I have to note on the video is that plastic surgery here in Brazil is much cheaper than in the US, I'd guess even for celebrities. Even if she probably had most of her work done elsewhere, there must be at least a few of those that didn't cost that much 😅
Gisele's nose is like a breath of fresh air I love her nose! I know she got trolled for having a "larger" nose, but she didn't cave into any pressure to get the typical small pixie nose. Shes one of my favourite models ever.
Her nose isn't even that big. I have face blindness so I can many see the most prominent features on someone's face and hers does stand out some but in a strong feature sort of way. I'm also a flamboyant natural and small facial features would look strange on us.
@@heidiheidi0 yes her nose is definitely not big at all! She is however listed and talked about as having a big nose in online articles and stuff, which is absolutely insane. Growing up, because of my huge insecurity if my actually big nose, I would look up pics of big nosed women to see people like me. Let me tell you, in those kinds of articles people with such small noses were given as examples it's crazy, Giselle's nose was even one of the largest fr
@@heidiheidi0 we are talking about super models, not regular beauty, in a model world her nose is bigger, in that time her body was considered “curvy” when was literally almost boxy… super model cant be compered to normal people
lorry thank you for your hard work as always. as a person who struggles with body dysmorphia your videos really help and you're always coherent, kind and thoughtful
I am always blown away by your videos. It seems like absolutely every single celebrity has had a nose, boob and lip job done - it almost seems standard. To me that just seems like such an invasion! They were all already so beautiful! It's sad that they practically all feel the need to do these surgeries.
And it influences us! We end up thinking our noses are too broad or too big - and it's only because we're comparing them to celebrities with refined noses.
@@GodWinsInTheEnd true, I would have loved to see someone like the beautiful Blake Lively for example growing up and growing older with her fresh natural features
They absolutely haven't lol, and she seems to attribute practically every change in a celebrity's appearance, usually over a period of literal decades, to surgery, which is obviously... ridiculous. Like, people's faces are inevitably going to change as they age into adulthood lol
@@alexbennet4195 Exactly, like the apparent blepharoplasty literally just looks like she had thicker eyeliner and lashes on in the first pic compared to a more pared back look in the second.
I’ve never found her especially pretty. She has a long, lean, great figure. Her figure combined with the breast implants is what got her the most attention in my opinion. Her face is more average pretty to me. It amused me how she was called “curvy” because she was super skinny with large, enhanced breasts. I guess large breasts mean you are curvy LOL.
She is gorgeous-always maintaining her natural unique beauty even if some features have been tweaked. She hasn’t followed trends or started to morph into an instagram model (would never put her in that category) where they all look the same. She is perennially Giselle--remarkably beautiful and always herself.
She looks pretty much the same and you can't surgify that WALK 😍 I love when people do very slight natural enhancements, it seems to age better as well - for example, Bella Hadid having so much surgery young really really aged her. I look younger than her and I'm 4 years older.... Whatever Giselle did/does was perfect for her. Ofc being stunning already helps lol
I think her procedures was to keep her looking the "same". I mean her bleph was to make her eyes look like before not to change shape. Bella procedures in other hand was with intention of "create" a new face.
i almost feel like these days, celebs are getting a lot of things done with the goal of looking older or more "mature" so they're taken more seriously in hollywood. the "snatched" upswept look is very trendy. i dislike when people seem to get procedures done because they're trendy rather than to suit their unique face. and it sucks because we're seeing fewer baby faces but i think baby faces are timeless and always age the best.
Lorry, would you please make a video about Heidi Klum? I have a few suspicions about the things she might have done to her face and body over the years, yet would love to know your opinion.
When you think about it Bella Hadid did her face and look how her career took off (well allegedly 😉). Their looks are their fortune so I can see why Gisele would get some things done. She is very beautiful, and I think she has had things done so well it looks natural. At the end of the day, it just shows you how fake everything in beauty is from social media and how we should really take it with a pinch of salt. Yes, they are beautiful but it's their job to be. Love your research. I just love the supermodel era 💕💕
She's gorgeous, before and after. I do prefer her natural 'before' look before she had anything done. I really like her natural nose and hooded eyes. She has a very harmonious face and great charisma. Thank you for this video!
Ever since I saw Gisele in that cheesy 2004 movie "Taxi", she became an inspiration to me. I'm "only" 5'8, my general bone structure is narrow and long, also hooded eyes and often considered to look quite masculine. I think the procedures she's had are so beautifully done, which proves that less is always more with plastic surgery. I understand the divide in opinions about her looks, her beauty goes beyond her face and body, it's the way she carries herself, and in my opinion that's even more impactful. I'm sad to see that she and Tom are splitting up, I've also been a big fan of his for about 2/3 of my life. I know it's silly but they were like IRL Barbie and Ken to me lol. But in all seriousness, I wish them the best, I hope they do what's best for them and their kids. Tom is going through the worst moment in his career, it hurts.
I think G is stunning. The work done on her has been so smart bc it works with her features and just makes them better, instead of wanting to look entirely different. But I have always thought it was so odd how people call her curvy when she is not. At all. She knows how to pose and knows her body very well, but if you look closely, she is pretty straight, specially in the torso, waist. hips area. She just knows how to move and pose so she looks like she has curves. But all in all, I think she is gorgeous and has earned her fame as a model.
Your videos are always so fun and interesting. I can tell that you put in so much time and work, and that you are genuinely passionate about this subject. Thank you for another great video!
I always found her beautiful and unique and even with the surgeries she still looks very much like herself. The rhinoplasty (whiloe I don't think it was necessary, i understand why models may have to do it) looks really well done and the nose still looks natural. I hope you cover more supermodels in the future, especially the other VS models because I know none of them who openly admitted to having surgeries
I appreciate her beauty more now than before. She's refreshing compared to some celebrities who turned themselves into a version of themselves with a face that is rubbery looking.
Omg not this discussion again in every white Brazilian content. She was born and raised in Brazil, she’s Brazilian. No white Brazilian comes out and say “iM nOt bRaziLiaN” because that’s ridiculous. It’s like saying a born and raised American is not American if they are 6th generation German. “Brazilian” is not a race or ethnicity, it’s a nationally with its own cultural traits. Brazilians are of literally any ethnic background. Sincerely, an “”European”” Brazilian
Giselle has always been a favorite model of mine. Her surgery and maintenance is so well done too! I think this is the route I’ll go as I get older. Lovely work Lorry!
How could anyone ever refer to her as a ‘healthier and curvier’ model, she has literally always been waif thin, the only difference was that she was fuller breasted! Yeah, still absolutely stunning but it sends a bad message to call her body type curvy when she’s literally skinnier than me and I’m 57kg and 5’3 and still a petite woman myself
Check out how she looked at 18 at the Alexander McQueen runway show. They called her the “boobs of Brazil" I think that’s how she stood apart from the other runway models at the time. It was shocking to see someone that thin and curvy. (I know model “curvy” isn’t realistic) surgery makes sense although you can’t see any scars. Thanks for exposing the truth!
I think she already had implants in that show even though she was very young. They look like implants especially compared to the vintage picture of her in the bikini that lorrie showed. I'm not sure what Brazils laws on plastic surgery for minors were back then. Then again she could have gotten them right when she turned 18.
Gisele very much still looks like her younger self which is a great indicator of tasteful cosmetic surgery. Another Brazilian supermodel who admitted to having work done is Isabeli Fontana. She admitted to having work done on her breasts after giving birth which I appreciate very much. Also, I'm pretty sure Gisele was born on July 21 since my friend who has the same birthdate as her loves Gisele. Edit: I've misheard the part on her birthday. My bad.
I love Gisele, as a Brazilian I can say she is a role model for us and a climate change advocate. Thanks for featuring her with such care and respect! Greetings from Rio de Janeiro
Never found her that attractive even when younger...ok looking, ok body, height..but never close to any 90s or even 80s models..even from her own generation..My friend was a roommate when they were starting out along w Lima..think they were all in Paris...Korina Longin..she is Croatian lives in USA...now she was a stunner and is a stunner
I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen the hype about this woman. Is she pretty? Yes but she just doesn’t strike me like an Adriana Lima or Naomi Campbell. She’s a great model though!
She was never my fave supermodel but of course she's beautiful. It's ridiculous for anyone to say she's not. My fave models are Adriana Lima, Natalia Vodianova and Kate Moss (in the 90's)
I really appreciate you including the celebrity's background, and in this video, any of their questionable/problematic history. I hope you'll try to avoid using any variation of the word "perfect" in your videos; there's no such thing as perfect. Thank you for doing what you do, Lorry!
I have always loved her so much. She is so beautiful. I've always felt bad for her twin though. Can you imagine having to have twin sibling rivalry with Giselle all your life?? Her sister is pretty too but you know how siblings can be 😁
looking at the both of them, to me, that's the difference between pretty and gorgeous it's no fault of her sister sometimes mother nature gets it particularly right
@@MegaTinni yes nature got it right with Giselle. I was joking a little but I hope that she and her twin have a good relationship. Having a twin could be such a beautiful experience
@@giu941 she was discovered at 14 according to this video. That's pretty young. Although I'm sure she was picked on for her height when she was even younger than that. Thank you so much for this video, not so much for softly “revealing” the work she had done, but because she is MY FAVORITE SUPER MODEL. I had followed her ever SINCE SHE STARTED modeling, and collected her magazine shoots. I LOVE HER. She is my one and ONLY girl-crush ;) EVER. So, thank you for this remembrance of my fave girl and fashion/look inspiration!!! LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, btw!!!! ❤❤❤
I definitely think she’s beautiful, but I’m German as well so I may be biased. When you brought up “curvier” models vs the Heroin Chic look of the 90’s, I don’t see much difference except the boobs. The arms and legs are still really, really thin. I looked it up and she’s still 120lbs, just like models have been since Cindy Crawford and Paulina Poriakova. Kate Moss was 5’7” and 105lbs. It’s comparable based on height and weight
love your videos, lorry. you're always so kind! also wow- i never even thought of fat transfer to the upper eye hollows, but that makes so much sense as we lose volume there with age. fat transfers really are the way to go in my opinion :)
Honestly I find a lot of supermodels to look incredibly "average" without the facial expression, makeup, model walk, etc. and she is one of them 😅 I prefer a more striking face, and unfortunately I think a lot of celebrities remove exactly the features which make their faces interesting to look at
Please do an in depth analysis of Nina Dobrev!!! She changed so drastically over the years. Its very visible in The Vampire Diaries but I can't figure out what she got done. Love your videos! 🥰
Why are we calling one body type sexier than another? Don't you think you have viewers who may have a naturally "heroin" whatever you said looking body, or maybe people who have health problems, chronic illness, or eating disorders, now get to hear you call another body sexier than theirs. I love your content and I love how you are very mindful with how you speak about the people in your videos. Please do not compare one body type to another body type, everyone is entitled to have a preference, but what we don't need is to tear other people down.
