Here is a major episode that covers the entirety of Lae'zel's personal quest to find her people. I'll tweak builds, like Karlach's and even Astarion's. I also accidentally stumble upon the Blood of Lathander and I make uh, certain choices. As always, I hope you enjoy this episode about Edrahil's wild journey.
Yes!!!!!!! Another episode thank you very much thank you very much thank you very much really no jokes thank you very much I enjoy watching you which way do you play this game it's pure fun with your videos thank you very much
Our brave paladin might be the personification of virtue but inside him lives a little gremlin (hamster) which demands that everything in sight must be looted. AND I adore that.
As Edrahill continues his quest you realize all the characters around him change based on his choices and decisions, I think even Edrahill might have a change of heart and eventually his vengeance might grow into something else.
Get yourself a partner that loves Shadowheart as much as Edrahill who will literally almost end the world to bring back a legendary epic weapon as a "I was out, saw this, and thought of you" gift :p
You really bring out the best elements of BG3. This game was truly made for a creator like you. Please continue this all the way through until the end, although the editing must be hell xD
What an episode! I love how you role played Edrahil and his handling of these tough situations. I do wish you talk to and utilize Wyll more. You haven’t talked to him ever since his patron turned him into a tiefling with the clunkiest-looking horns ever (a fitting jerk move on her part). There’s got to be a way to help him.
I mean the house of hope want something from the party, and look like a big deal in hell, so once they find it( i think they did ) and use it as a bargaining chip for both wyll and karlach
I like when you mention that you're going back to collect everything. Gives me the completionist satisfaction without having to witness all the completion.
So cool that you found the Blood of Lathander legendary mace. The crest you needed to stick into the panel to disable the doomsday devices you were supposed to find within the monastery by completing a collection of a series of ceremonial weapons to place on 4 altars. Still managed to avoid annihilation of your party and the building itself though, so well done. That weapon is going to make your life a LOT easier in the shadow lands of Act 2 👍👏
I've just discovered this series and am really enjoying Edrahil's adventures. I'm about 30 hours into a paladin playthrough with a half-elven Oath of the Ancients Paladin, based on one of my favourite DnD characters (a cheerful himbo who likes to see the best in everyone until they prove otherwise). I've just finished the Githyanki Creche quest, so it's interesting to see how Edrahil's actions and attitudes differ and where they're alike (My paladin is also more than a bit smitten with Shadowheart; although Lae'zel, Gale and Wyll have all expressed interest in what's lurking beneath the adamantine splint XD )
Ps: sorry for the strange writing, I'm from another country, using google haha bro, your videos are really good, for me you are the only one who is doing a game different from other content creators, your game with the wine barrels was amazing, if you can do two cool things in the next chapter, first have someone on your team that uses the build of the tavern, throwing spears, you've already done that with the karlach, and secondly, use the magic (command) on a Minotaur's weapon for him to release it. thanks. By the way: make the armor in the forge. not the weapons.
That Orpheus worshipper reminded me of an early Christian, especially the part with the symbol, it was a common tactic during the times of persecution.
Enjoying this almost as much as my own bard game. I am really enjoying seeing that a melee-based party (i.e., one without Gale or Wyll) can be really viable.
My favorite quote from the video (you'll have to watch the video if you want context!): "I know I shouldn't do it, but it's beautiful, it's shiny, it's a magical item... as a D&D player, I've got to have it!" As for story stuff-- The encounters within the Githyanki creche were far more interesting and exciting than I anticipated! Intrigue, drama, and vicious battle. And poor Lae'zel... is her faith warranted, or does she grapple with her own delusions? In the beginning I did not like Lae'zel very much at all, finding her to be a cruel and seemingly capricious individual, but the way she struggles to make sense of everything around her and stay true to what she believes in makes her tragic and maybe even heroic in my eyes. I'll admit Lae'zel has earned my respect for being so tenacious and steadfast despite her entire world and belief system being shaken to its foundation. Whether her story ends well or in true tragedy, I look forward to seeing how Lae'zel is able to overcome this crisis of faith, and what kind of person she ultimately becomes. The stuff that's happening with Gale is really cool, too. Didn't expect that eccentric visitor to show up and bring such an interesting new plot thread to light. As always, loving this playthrough and witnessing the consequences of Edrahil's choices.
watching this series has had me grow to actually like la’zel or more understanding of her character and I played a lot of early access and I can’t wait to dive in to the full game man I love wyll astarion and shadow heart and I can’t wait to use halsin the Druid as a companion like I’m pumped
Man, Surreal, I’ve been watching and enjoying your content for years upon years and I have to say, this game was made for you. I always loved how you would RP even in games where RP wasn’t the main focus. (e.g., Total War, Crusader Kings, M&B) So now, seeing you go through the meatiest of RPGs is such an absolute pleasure, I truly look forward to seeing you play more games like this. (Then again, there aren’t many games as astounding as BG3!)
Damn, you make it so immersive it's almost like I was playing the game myself. it helps that I am big on RP myself and you seem to pretty much choose the options I would have. looking forward to more. Keep it up.
i wanna say. its fkn great to see how the numbers rise when u post a new video of BG3 there r plenty lets plays out there but what u do is a realy nice RP session (GAME TIP) - the maschine from the gith from that doctor .. if the player gets first he can suck the energy from the machine into his tadpole to get some permanent advantage.. dont know exacly what it is i never did it but u get some +
Just finished the whole episode in between working and holy shit. What an episode. You handled the Crèche so good. I stumbled upon it, stole an egg and left for the under dark xD I’ll have to go back and wipe their very existence!!!
Im watching these as they drop, best part of the day is seeing the update you posted something new, Baldur gate is a masterpiece of a game, cand wait to see It released on Xbox so I can play it also. Keep em coming please, love the 2 hour + videos, you are a Scorsese 😊 . Thanks
I'm currently doing a playthrough where I'm a githyanki that didn't find all of valkith teaching to heart so she fight differently she taught herself how to redirect and take more punishment than usual!!! I'm playing a monk barbarian it's really fun!!! Nest I'm thinking of playing a cleric of ellistraee! Also love ur videos its the reason I found baldur gate 3 like 2-3 years ago when u did a early access playthrough
You know Edrahil grabbing the mace was pretty stupid but he's got an 8 in Int and Wis so it makes sense, plus everyone knows he's a loot goblin like all adventurers worth their salt.
lol watching Surreal going to get the mace without the medallion that keeps the weapon from turning on and potentially blowing the place up was so nerve racking 🤣 also watching him destroy the machines instead of just mistystepping to safety and letting the weapon destroy the crèche was pretty entertaining.
I remember your hilarious Monk idea with 'Mr. Schnitzel' that would use... Salami to fight. The way I see this, he/she could be some very eccentric martial artist, most likely someone who mostly travels to learn and master all martial arts, even the most absurd ones, or the ones that people don't take as seriously like Drunken Fist. I could see it as perfect Neutral, someone understanding that perfect balance is required to master both body and soul, which would also translate to perfect martial art mastery. Someone quirky, eccentric, and cheerful considering the future... main weapon of choice. The main reason to pick up fights would be - to master the body and to keep improving it with each experience. Battle junkie, but not a malicious one. How someone acts doesn't matter - there is an option to fight non-lethal in this game, so I suspect against good/neutral guys he/she would fight not to kill, but knock them out.@@SurrealBeliefs
Since no one else seems to mention this or acknowledge it, i would like to point out that Edrahil looks quite similar to Geralt of Rivia in his camp clothes which i really like
I wiped out the entire creche except for those in the hatchery. I was very blood-thirsty after encountering the Inquisitor and vexed by the Litch Queen's betrayal of my friend Lae'zel
After you killed the Inquisitor and the Commander Threzzyn with the wolves you map was not hostile anymore. Maybe you didn’t need to kill the rest like the Trader in the cave area on your way to exit the creche. I am abt to enter in the monastery myself so contemplating if they will be agro or ok after that point.
Basically following your playthrough with my first CRPG d&d type of game. Using it as kind of a guide, especially for lore and following tenants. Half elf vengeance paladin. Just about to clear out the goblin camp on my playthrough. Going to try and blow them all to hell with fire wine and smoke powder barrels, too.
Just blew the hell out of everybody inside the goblin camp and went around slaughtering all the rest that I could find stationed at other places. It took a few attempts and moving barrels around to get everyone but after the 4th or 5th attempt I got it to kill all of them. Saved after entering the shattered sanctum and I think I'm going to leave it there until patch 1 drops. I keep getting a few bugs and keep having to restart the game.
Please tell me you grabbed all of those parasites!!! My anxiety can't take it, I'm screaming at my PC watching this to not forget them! I knew once you started the battle you wouldn't go back, tell me I'm wrong!
I feel like every let's play I've watched, the player has romanced Shadowheart. And also, a lack of trust in your dream visitor. You're the second one I witnessed walk into the creche and foolishly hand over the artifact.
I’m digging the armor, but you missed out on some really good armor back in act 1. Adamantine armor can be crafted when you take the adventure through the drow dwarves village and you take their boat to the the section
I would like to see you use the speak with the dead item a little more. I feel like you have missed some opportunities to possibly glean a little more info or story. You’re doing a pretty good job with the Paladin rp considering all the evil adjacent followers the game sticks you with. Now that you have that gith’s story done she can sit at the camp and eat beans for the rest of the game in my opinion. Foul tempered winch. I wonder what would have happened if you interrupted the children playing with the box that had the magical “cat” in it? I wonder if freeing it (it was making sounds of distress) would have converted it to your side?
Y’all know I’m all about wyll and shadowheart i say bring him halsin and astarion or shadowheart down in the under dark or maybe gale too I love these characters
She deserves it. If I had the game she would be the first companion I would kill. I would probably get rid of most of these companions and hire some random NPCs.
