You never disappoint, friend! Wouldn't expect anything less from you...your the best guitar teacher on YT...I challenge anyone to do It better... OUTSTANDING!
Thanks for the upload. All transcriptions I saw before left something out. Yours seems to be spot on and it is a joy to play! For those hunting for a good tutorial: THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!
Lovely playing, and a great lesson to boot. Many many thanks for so generously sharing your manifest talent. So many hours in the guitar bank you make it look easy!
Man, I just wanna tell ya - that was really great. Lotsa sticklers here criticizing your playing but I want you to know that I only own a telecaster with a 12 string emulator and I'm just looking to add it to my campfire repertoire, but your version is just right for me. The sticklers will probably take that and run with it too but I don't care and neither should you. Thanks again. Just what I needed!
It is always great to watch one of your tutorial videos, especially when it features such a great acoustic guitar song! The nuances on many of the guitar grips are very useful. Many thanks!
I began to learn guitar because of a friend of mine who was able to play Give a Little Bit on his 12 strings guitar. I bought a 6 strings guitar (which is more versatile) and I took lessons to learn the basis. Of course, that song was one of the first I played (some parts of it) and I couldn't wait to reproduce the real sound. So, I bought a 12 strings guitar a few months later... 42 years ago.
Hi Dale … it’s been a while. Hope all is well. I needed a refresher on this . Got to learn it for the band. I still wear my Tone Dr t-shirt with pride. Thank you !
Buona la cover che hai fatto suonata bene.bravo ,di give Little me bit.infatti il grande Roger Hodgson mio amico, dei Supertramp autore e compositore di questa bellissima melodia rimarrà nella storia musicale mondiale sempre un musicista di elevati livelli.ciao from Italy gaetano chitarrist.fantastic.
Hi Dale, sorry, I'm not particularly musical, but I love watching your vidoes even when it's a guitar course. A great tune from my favorite Supertramp album. Had tickets to the Roger Hodgson concert in Denmark at 12th of september, but something called covid-19 came in the way... Now looking forward to september 2021 to the postponed event.
Hi, Dale. Thanks for another great lesson and for helping me play this wonderful song the right way. BTW, love that Renshaw sitting in the background-reminds me of mine : ). Thanks again for the lead on those great guitars. Best, Ian
hello Ian...I hope you are enjoying your Renshaw and would love to hear about it if you want to share. Thanks for your very kind post and hope you and your family are very well!
Dale, it really checks all the boxes for me. The articulation, as you know, is bright and crisp while managing to have a beautiful “open” tone. Will’s craftsmanship is peerless and I get asked about it wherever I sit in-probably because people wonder what a player at my skill level is doing with a guitar like that?! : ). I did learn a hard lesson, however, when I rested it on a couch one evening, not seeing that a dryer sheet accidentally had been left there while laundry was being folded. It marred the nitrocellulose finish in a small area on the back, so I may be back in your neighborhood one of these days to have it repaired. Other than that one horrific experience, it’s been a joy to own.
Many thanks for this tutorial. Very well done !! The outro is also my favorite part of the song and I do exactly the same thing with the d-shape chord!
It's worth the wait...nice work, mate... never played a 12 strings guitar...goin' to give it a go...BTW, nice tutorial and explanation, bud... THUMBS UP! 👍👍👍
I sure would like to know what is in ALL those killer cases. That is quite a collection. Thanks for the filling in of the chords.I have been playing this on stage since 1999 and had some woopsies in there.CHEERS
Good to see you still at it Dale ! Great fun to learn this one... although I gave away my 12 string years ago as it was a pain to play and tune... LOL !
Great playing! :-) That E7sus almost sounds like it should only be an Esus, not sure if I like the sound of the 7 lol I love when it goes to the C chord, like a temporary key change, but could also be in brief Mixolydian mode......
@@tonedr I love my 314. I would like to have a 12 string one day. I like your tutorials...they help. I play mostly church music.....Im a Pastor, but I still like these old songs from my teen years!! God bless 🙏
Hello, I am French, your version is more than subtle, it is more technical than the original and makes the chord variations prettier, is there a tabature?
not sure I understand but on a 12 string the high E and B are just unison and all the other strings have the 'standard' tuning plus an octave higher string - great thanks for the listen!
Is that a Taylor 362ce? Sounds great with your obvious nice technique. I just broke the truss rod in my Martin D12X1 so it totaled it since they are not much over $500 for one now. I'm thinking Taylor just not sure which one. Great tutorial. I've playing this song for years but you corrected some things for me, Thank You!
