I enjoyed your review and the box looks great on your bike. My only negative comment on this video was the horrible music that blasted out of my speakers at the beginning. It was so much louder than your voice and startled the heck out of me when the video first began. If you get rid of that, I will subscribe your channel.

GIVI strongly not recommended. I bought GIVI blade B37 top box 2 months ago and have been facing numerous quality related issues. Contacted GIVI Italy/ India and they refused to even look into the problems seriously and displayed care a damn attitude towards these short falls. After my personal experience, GIVI made me believe that they are an overrated, unprofessional and arrogant company to patronise with. 1. The base plate rubbers are made of material which tends to stick to the top box. Due to this this, every-time I remove the top box, the rubbers sticks to the box and come off. The first time this happened, I lost those rubbers on a highway and then, had to go and look for them in the middle of the night. If you lose these mounting rubbers, your top box will rattle crazily and will that will eventually damage the base plate/ box. 2. The top box cover hinge has a play and due to this, the cover continuously rattles. 3. The packing rubber inside the box and the cover not fitting well. Shouldn’t that be the case, the point 2 above may not happen. 4. The push bottom of the box cover is not very smooth. I have to press really hard to push open the cover. This is dangerous, as the bike may come off the side stand and fall due to this push. I have to be very watchful and have to keep a hand behind the box while opening it. Shared all the concerns and videos with GIVI and I was quite flabbergasted by their response and reaction. They strongly made me believe now that their customer service/ satisfaction is Rock bottom. Highly overrated brand and I am in process of making a full review video of this box and posting it on RU-vid shortly. Once done, will share the link here too: 👍 After using this box for 5000 odd kms, which is a mix of city, highway and off road drives, I feel one should opt for a much stable, stronger and permanently mounted top box like orange candy, Motocan, etc, as GIVI seems to be more super bikes and highway centric design and not made for an adventure bike like Himalayan, which is made to withstand constant vibrations/ beatings. After the above mentioned experience and shelling INR 1,3000/-, I felt deceived and humiliated by such an awefull experience.

No all good, just the loudness at the beginning, not a big deal, just a constructive suggestion.

Really good review thanks for taking the time, looking for options to fit an R1250RT and this looks good - my main reason for not looking for the BMW OEM Fit is that they refuse to colour match the box to the bike - Givi seem to want their boxes to look good on the bike and the several colour options means it will be easier to match.

This looks big when you see it in personal. Very excellent storage capacity.

A very good review. Thank you. Similar reaction to Christopher G below about the startlingly loud music at the beginning of the video. Otherwise a really good review.

Thank you ! Very good review . Useful . I think the case is the way too big for my Honda NC700X though . Probably will go with GIVI 40 .

Did you end up with the 40L monokey. I have the 40L monokey. It is very light. I had a 46L and 55L and sold both due to the weight of the bigger cases. They do affect handling. The 40 does not at all.

hey my friend I am planning to get these same for my ducati monster 1200. My question is will this givi case comes out like a backpack with out a key?
@Ianysm
@Ianysm 7 лет назад
Hi no there is no key, just a clip to disconnect it from the tank. It is quick release. I am very pleased with it
@Ianysm
@Ianysm 7 лет назад
Hi, the case can be removed from the bike and carried with its handle, but it does need the key to release it.

The ability to remove the case without a key is a problem because this will allow it to be stolen
@garylewis327

@@Ianysm I have one of these and the button to remove the case appears to be jammed. Which way do you turn the key to be able to push the button to remove it? I can't remember, because I rarely remove it. But the only way I can turn my key is clockwise. The button to open the case works fine, but the one to remove it won't push in at all. Any ideas?

Single wall or double wall construction?
@Ianysm
@Ianysm 6 лет назад
Christopher Maggard hi it's a good question. It is Single wall. wouldn't it add too much weight if they made it double?

I think what you're trying to say is....."It's not Jivi! :)))" Ghivi is pronounced the same as Givi.

A fine review. Thanks! Perhaps the only thing missing would be to show how the topbox is removed from the bike (for the benefit of those of us who have never owned one before). Also, I agree with previous comments on the loud intro music. Mind you, some people wear headphones and we don't want to damage anyone's ears, especially before we talk to them, right? ;)
@Ianysm
@Ianysm 5 лет назад
Yes thanks for the feedback. The next ones will have a shortened quite intro! One button press to remove from the bike and slot it into the pins and click down the secure it on the bike. Cheers
