Thanks for showing the messy closet and the unfinished projects. It is important to let people know that living this way is normal. Also I love how it turned out. If you want it all green, go for it. The worst thing that could happen is that you paint it white again later!
FINALLY! We get to see your magickal room! LOVE that pumpkin art! HOLY CRAP you would be amazed on how many projects I have started and stopped. I love that the dresser was put in your closet. LOVE the final outcome. I think you should keep the white walls.
You cracked me up at the beginning of this video because I related so much to the struggle of de-cluttering and how long it can take when you find unfinished projects and just a bunch of stuff you forgot about. The stop, show, and tell was incredibly entertaining and heartwarming. I still have a smile on my face, you are so darn cute! Anyway the room transformation is phenomenal I love the green walls with fairy lights! I would definitely encourage you to leave the white walls white or paint them with Behr's Polar Bear White, it sounds like a stark white but it's actually a lovely white that isn't hard on the eyes but gives the room a nice clean brightness. I love the contrast you have now and all your decor and shelves are so beautiful. I was looking forward to this video because we just bought a house in Nevada and I will finally have my own witch room/office in the loft, and I have some kind of an idea of what to do with it but am looking for inspiration. Thank you for sharing in the most real way, I love that about you! Blessed Be!
Hahaha thank you so much!! I think I decided on leaving the white walls for now. But I like the idea of doing the Polar White paint - that's a great idea. I am so excited for you to decorate your own witchy room. You'll have to share pictures when you get to that! Much love! ❤️❤️
Omg!! I loved that!! That is ALL ME! I start a trillion “projects” that never get finished; I have three littles 5, 4, and 1! I also am told daily that our house looks worse every day after i spend EVERY SINGLE DAY CLEANING AND ORGANIZING ALL DAY EVERY DAY! It always gets worse before it gets better!
Oh my, we are so alike! Books piled everywhere, many unfinished projects....I even have one of those unfinished paint by numbers, ha ha ha!!! 😂 Your room looks fantastic, and I'm sure you are thoroughly enjoying it and getting lots of use there. You done good, Girl! My room designated to art and magic is still full of boxes, empty book shelves, and is basically used only for the cat boxes right now. 🤪 (I've been here 3 years. 😳 I ended up getting those rolling library cart type shelves for all my supplies & books, and making an altar/work space in my bedroom. I do plan to turn that room into an art studio space, but may leave my witchy eork in my bedroom. Thank you for the inspiration and morivation. 😊👍🃏🕯🪄🙋♀️
I would keep just the one wall green with all the shelves on it. Also, I am exactly like you in that I will start projects and not finish them… knitting, crocheting, water painting, you name it!!! Lol
Making me even more excited to get back into my own house/witchy space. I love organizing, and seeing everyone else's witchy stash too. Turned out SO GREAT! That green paint is everything!
I love the color. I personally would paint the ceiling. If you're worried about it being too dark you could get (or make) a corded chandelier or a hanging candle holder...
With this space I think the lighter color is necessary. A small space done all dark makes it seem smaller. I think I would do a creamy color like a ivory or maybe even a pale beige to accent your wood tones. It’ll still be light but give more depth to that wall. It’ll be easier on the eyes too with the desk in front of it. White tends to reflect light and can cause eye strain. Just my two cents as a pro organizer and interior designer 😊 I really appreciated the way you honestly shared about having unfinished projects and the decluttering process. I have so many clients who are so ashamed and they truly don’t need to be. It’s a very normal thing most people do. I think you did a beautiful job with it! I’d love to have sacred time there. The powerful energy in that room was palpable through the video. You clearly use it often and well. ✨💗✨
Thank you so much for your input! You know way more than me as a pro organizer/interior designer so I'll take your word for it! Also, yes, we need to normalize what "real" homes look like sometimes... This is the messiest video I have filmed and I did that on purpose because I hate seeing all these perfect homes represented on RU-vid. I'll be over here representing a standard messy home 😂
@@IvyTheOccultist you’re welcome 😊 Yes! It absolutely needs to be normalized and have the shame put to rest. We live in our homes. They should reflect that. Your home is lived in and loved. As it should be. 😊 You experienced different hobbies and what a benefit that was to your life! That’s how I choose to view unfinished projects because even a pro organizer does that too. 🙋♀️ I love that you did it on purpose. Bravo! 👏🏻
OMG you are my twin , I absolutely LOVE the color you picked , it makes the room look so rich and inviting ..as for the rest of the walls , I would paint the rest of that one wall where the closet is and only leave your one white wall . The light from the window will reflect on that and give you some light you need...but I adore what you did ..the fairy lights are gorgeous ...you gave me some inspiration on a room that I am getting ready to redo , so thank you ...great job Ivy ♥
What a beautiful project I'm not in a place where I can dedicate an entire room to my ritual space but I would love one. To the walls, I adore the one white as almost an accent wall. its a nice contrast and helps add a little more light to the space, imo. :)
Fantastic job, lights great! That storm that leaked everywhere did get some of the witchy things I had. so, as soon as I get I'll go on to other things. Pssst, love that green!
That turned out so gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration! I usually forget to get a photo or film the before state but that is so important. The green walls look fantastic. Love the fairy lights!
this looks awesome!! I love how you have left the one wall light, it blends so well as you panned around. Those lights around the ceiling give the room a great ambiance ( along with the candles and plants, it looks quite ancient😊)...love the dresser in the closet - i have do that and its the best thing I could have done. Plus the extra space you get in a room makes it all worth it. Thank you for sharing
Just came across your channel and I am liking what I see. Love the green you painted on the walls, very calm and grounded you did a awesome job, plus seeing the Witchy things that you have collected are so cool. I will be watching more of your channel.
Been binging your videos and i have to say it: you have such wonderful taste. That room looks just like what i'd love to have for myself. So cozy, earthy, and the decor is: chef's kiss.
You need light green or even a pretty pink and your pumpkin pic would look great in that room and your knitting looked good needs a black or green border for winter chilly nights
That pumpkin you painted was so pretty! If you donated it, whoever gets it is one lucky person. And I actually like the contrast, it fits the atmosphere. But maybe paint the walls a different white so it pops more? With the glow of the fairy light and candles, it makes it appear an ugly yellow. For more light, what you could do is add bright white lightbulbs to the lamps. Those are bright! And if you really decide on all green, it should do enough to brighten the space. Anyhow, I like, like, like this room! Especially with that soft music in the background, mm, perfection.
It’s so beautiful!! I love videos like this and it inspired me to rearrange my space a bit too 🖤 I definitely think you should leave the wall behind your desk white.
Love it. I'd keep the white walls white otherwise the room might look too dark. My witchy room is in our half bathroom which was also supposed to be laundry and store which we use the garage for instead. I'm still collecting things for the room when I can but I've had to stop for now. I'm on medical leave from my job due to drs restrictions and I have to find a new job.
I love it! I love dark greens nowadays. We recently painted our bedroom black which was so scary but I'm so glad we did, it just makes things so much more cozy.
I recently created my own witchcraft room in a video it feels so nice to have a space just for my magic! I love you being honest about how messy witchcraft really is because most people nice that to be instagram worthy xx
I absolutely love how you changed up your witchy room! It literally looks magical! Loooove that gorgeous dark green color, it adds such a mystical vibe to the space! 🤩
Thank you for showing your unfinished projects! I don’t feel so alone now lol. The green is GORGEOUS, and I am absolutely in love with your little shelf above the closet as well as the little cubbyhole curios/shelves you have tucked everywhere for storing tiny collections. I need to find/make some of those to display all the things. New sub 🤗
We just took out our half bathroom storage room and turned it into my liberty ritual room. Im still working on it. The walls are purple and i want to get some cool lighting. And add black out curtains.
beautiful. that green really anchors the room and adds that earthy depth. the lights make it so cozy. oh, i wouldn't paint the whole room though. it might be it too dark and closed in. you could get some of those removable wallpaper thingys to add some color to the white wall without closing it in completely. since you're an artist you could paint a mural of some sort or maybe just a border around the shelves. idk lol whatever you decide it will look cool.
This is so prettyyyyyy, I like the white and green contrast fasho, it's v stylish 🔥 I can picture that white wall with wainscoting or beadboard that comes halfway up the wall, in the same color... so that It's a modest but intricate detail 🤔 It honestly looks so bomb as is, thanks for sharing your hard and inspiring work c:
Dude this looks absolutely fantastic! And don't feel bad about not priming the walls before painting...I wouldn't have, either lmao. IMO I would leave the white wall alone. I think it's looks dope, as if you used the white as an accent color! Sometimes too dark is, well...too dark. I think it looks amazing. Good job, girl! I hope this inspires many!
I love it! I think its crazy that the past two weeks I have been day dreaming about redoing my witchy room too! I think you should leave the walls as they are. You did great
I love this! I almost painted mine a similar color, but it’s smaller so I opted for curtains that color. I love the shelf your partner made! The size is perfect, too. One thought about lighting, what about a plug in ceiling light or battery-operated, remote controlled light? I have a plug in from IKEA that works pretty well in a room without wired lights. All that to say, I truly love what you did with your ritual room!
Ivy, I love your witchy room! 🤩 It turned out beautifully and I was really curious to see your ritual space. Thank you for sharing. 🥰 That green is gorgeous! I would also colour the wall opposite the window green, but would leave the wall behind your desk white. 🙂 I'm really looking forward to watching a more detailed video on this room! 🙏🏼 Blessings! ❤😘😘
My whole room is dark green, but I think your white wall makes the wooden wall decor POP more, so I'm a fan of leaving it white. Just my two cents. It'll be beautiful no matter what you decide.
I would leave the white walls to give you some light. I didn't see the back of your door. You may want to paint it the forrest green. It may be the little extra color you want. Good luck. Looking forward to the next video. Just found you today!! Seeking ideas for my space.❤
I love how it came out! I think having that one wall remain white is what I'd do just because your shelves and decor is so dark to begin with. Also, no shame in not finishing projects! I think we all do it to some degree. Some of us neurodivergent people do it way more than others though! 😁 I love that green color too! It makes the space so cozy!
Looooove this transformation. So cozy. I keep telling myself I don't want battery operated candles but I keep seeing them everywhere and I dunno... maybe I do? They're a lot less hazardous and you can nestle them in anywhere.
Full disclosure, I wasn't sold on battery operated candles either... But they bring such good ambiance!! And the air quality is much better too without a bunch of candles burning. I do still have some candles burning but it's nice to balance them with battery operated ones... Especially in smaller spaces! ❤️
Looks stunning! Love it! Beautifully done, Ivy! I might live with the white waIl for a while and see how it feels. You can always paint it green, whereas it's more difficult to go in the other direction. 😅 If you did eventually go all green, you could consider bringing in some extra lighting for those times when you just want a brighter space. Enjoy!! 💚
Wow wow wow!! That space has perfect vibes! I do kinda like the idea of going all green.. Especially with that maximalist wall. Buuuut it also looks good white. 🤷🏻♀️
Omg!!! I just picked up my knitting stuff, which I started 2 years ago, and just continued knitting like I never stopped. 😬🤣☺️👍🙈 The ball of yarn is a mess. 😕
I also have SO many unfinished projects so I feel your pain! 😂 Since I'm partial to dark rich colors I have to vote for doing the whole room in the green. Thank you for showing us your room!
