In India capturing and taming elephants are legally restricted, with exception of elephants that raid human settlements frequently, and destroy properties and produces of human could be captured, and put to undergo rehabilitation and release back to wild where the environment has carrying capacity for such released animals, or can be recaptured if they still continue raiding human settlements. Such animals are either kept in captivity centres, or if the behavior of the elephant is fitting to be made as a trained enforcer elephants then they are trained so. These enforcer elephants are tamed such away it get used to humans at the same time they are retained semi wild. Which means the animal has a handler and they are fed with suppliments, medicines, and allowed to roam free in wild, engage with wild herds, but they are brought back to bases every morning for routine washing and food ration. These enforcers are often taken to conflict areas to scare away wild elephants that breach villages and farms, or to assist wild life wardens to capture rogue wild elephants if they have formed a habit of raiding human settlements. What you see here is one of such centres with such elephants being trained to be enforcers. Its a routine to get used to humans, human sound, sticks (commands are later given by haptic senses using sticks as well alongside verbal). Yes it is not the most kind way, but human also deserves life in this planet. It is not my or yours fault that we are born into overpopulated world, as we had no choice. If there were no civil laws, humans would have taken law to their hands and would have killed these majestic animals for their safety.

It's not making them pet, there is huge difference. It's how elephant population is growth is secured. Or else these elephant would been killed because the elephant have crossed the line

Unfortunate captured should be taken and relocate and release in dense forest where enough vegetation maintained. Let them live by themselves, please. I have visited many rehabilitation centres and witnessed even papan. Keep beating baby elephants strait at face. Once yelled at me 'cos of my humble objection. I had concluded there are classes in humen too. Who ever, concious about the well being of fellow beings on this planet, do show your support for them to be released and live by themselves where they belongs. DFO's should speak with conscience as they have the authority. Just imagine if I lock this gentleman treat him like this with sticks to follow all day? Tell me what will be his level of endurance? What will be his response with his ego, after a while? Please think about and don't support this kind of activities in future. We start now spreading awareness, please. For the sake. Also, I have witnessed immeasurable abuses going on in rehabilitation centres around western ghats. Very painful scenario.
Law is not recommended this traditional croll method training but high official is allowed till now.only court is able to ban it otherwise world charity of animal production uk can stop this cruelty because they give fund for elephant camps . god bless you.

There are elephant that cross the red line which killing people, domestic animals, destroy property or killing even other elephant.. Such elephant are captured and trained. Once they are trained, they leave them free in jungle but every evening they bring to camp and feed them good source of food (which you should watch in other videos) and also they groom them like they take care their nails and skin.. they even wash them.. And bull elephant get musk them time it is dangerous elephant that time they tie them and feed them.. If you leave such elephant they were start chaos and kill other elephant. It is how you can manage such elephant or you have to kill all tgem all who gone mad.. So pls learn truth.. For religious things they use elephant are not even 1% of the time it is mostly elephant babies who mother have died and they take care that baby like human baby.. they pamper such temple elephant.. so pls shutup
