The title wrote train but I saw torture the elephant, this method was very old British method, nowadays, using new methods for elephant training without hurting them.
@@jacobzachariah656 did you understand what he saying, first understand and comment, we are not like south east asians , we give shelter to 63.2% of elephants in asia, our brilliant ancestors knows if it as animals humans may destroy it, so they created these good gaints as God, So we not harm them, these look cruel if you see it as cruel, all these elephant are get nutritious food funded by government, average life span of elephant = 49-56(wild) domesticated = 64-72 u can see the difference in their appearance too, domesticated elephants are healtheir than wild elephants,
Please -- Elephants also face lots of hardship even in forest -- Its not easy life inside forest -- They will not get food for many days -- Other over powered elephants attack and all happens -- in training camp this is not torture -- This is treatment just like injection given to people is not torture
@@Amoghavarsha_Nrupatunga oh man you don't have eyes ?tails are most important for them.they used it for Paw.without tail how an elephant can paw it's back? .poor elephants have no right to paw ?bloody human's. ☹️
It is quite cruel but to maintain the forests and do operations to capture tigers and divert wild elephants n work for conservation...! It's quite necessary.. so it's cruel but unfortunately needed.. and don't have an alternative yet..!
No . Tigers can be captured with military jeeps with weld mesh and drone. No need to drag elephants unnecessarily. Elephants are rightly called eco engineers and they should in the forest traversing their entire territory and not be chained up in the camp. So there is no need to torture and train wild elephants. Wild elephants do not leave their elephant corridors or forests & if there are human - elephant conflicts it means people have encroached into elephant corridors or elephant reserve forests and they are stopping the elephants from getting their food and water and harassing them and provoking them to go on a rampage dangerous to all. These encroachers also remove deep rooted forests and make the entire region susceptible to mud sliding and floods and loss of life. The encroachers should be punished with 20 years rigorous Imprisonment for their crimes against humanity , wild life and forests. The encroachments in elephant corridors and forests should be removed and denuded forest area and elephant corridors should be reforested with bamboo trees and regional native trees. Moreover the teak wood plantation trees should be transplanted to the tea estates to prevent mud sliding in the tea estates and the denuded teak wood forest area should be planted with bamboo trees and regional native trees. Ponds and lakes should be dug for storage of rain water in the forest area for wild life. Animal over bridges at regular intervals over roads and railway tracks crossing forests and elephant corridors should be built. This herd of camp elephants should be released in the Karnataka side of Nilagiri Biosphere Reserve to lead a natural happy free life and to preserve forests and elephant corridors and prevent mud sliding and floods and stabilise climate change and safeguard us.
@@sheelasundaram784 I haven't seen a military jeep or drone being of much use in case of rouge elephant operations.. and it's a extremely skilful job to make sure they do the least damage.. and it's not easy to capture a tiger using a jeep or a cage else they would have already been using them and quit this old complicated means of troubling elephants..! Again I am not an expert... But definitely wish there were alternatives... Definitely in agreement with all the other points and hope it gets implemented ASAP atleast in a few decades...
@@sheelasundaram784 Govt has earmarked forests and protected areas, so there is space and respect between animals and humans. It is mostly some sort of disabled tigers (age, injury, wear and tear) venture out to human settlements, and similarly scarcity of food, water, changing seasonal rain pattern etc had forced many animals including elephants to change their routine annual trails in search of food and water. So it is not always because of humans have fragmented their habitats they come out of forests. One they get easy food, salt, grains, and cultivated produces, some elephants make it a habit to raid adjacent farms, and it is those elephants that are captured for release or detaining.
Everyone are telling that this is cruel. But why aren't they seeing that dogs are also trained like this? Eating beef, pork, chicken is also animal cruelty? Trophy hunting is also cruelty? The people who are saying that this is cruelty are sitting eating a beef buying a ticket for animal circus and torturing his dog. First release your pets and stop eating non-veg and stop going to animal circus than we'll think about this.
low class people trying to make the cruelty they commit less cruel by explanations. all of those are cruel and so is this! in name of religion its worse
@@secondeboi2866 bro please do some research before commenting this. This is not cruelty and I've commented alot of people like you and some of them were intelligent so they understood my thing. And I'm not gonna waste my time over here if you think this is cruel then believe it. I'm living in this country I've seen everything about this "cruelty" and found alot of people like you. So, believe if you really think you are dumbass
Where is your EVIDENCE of "dogs being trained like this" in any civilised country?! (I don't doubt that your people are equally cruel to ALL creatures - including humans.) Why do you ASSUME that people who comment here in opposition of this torture, abuse and cruelty DO NOT also actively and vocally oppose the torture, abuse and cruelty of ALL creatures?! Why do you ASSUME that people who oppose torture, abuse and cruelty of innocent animals EAT ANY FORM OF FLESH?! Why do you ASSUME that people who oppose torture, abuse and cruelty of innocent creatures would, in any manner, condone or support 'trophy hunting'?! Why do you ASSUME that people who oppose torture, abuse and cruelty of innocent creatures would willingly attend any 'animal circus'. (FYI in most, if not all, civilised countries 'animal circuses' are banned.) Your peurile assumptions are bereft of any recognisable LOGIC and say more about you than about the subject/s of your assumptions. You are simply seeking to 'excuse' this abject cruelty - that clearly you actively support - by arrogantly and unsustainably accusing others of doing similar. Clearly you are emotionally and mentally impaired. ELM - Elephant Lives Matter. ✊✊✊
No.There is no need to torture and train wild elephants. We do need trained elephants in camps. It is neither good for the elephants nor good for us. Even if it is in other languages people will object .Elephants belong to forest and elephant corridors , preserving the forests and elephant corridors and safeguarding us. This is not training, it is a torture chamber!! I believe in calling it exactly what it is, barbarism and torture. I would love to see everyone of you that are involved in the sick, sadistic torture of these beautiful elephants put in prison and give you some of the same treatment to "train" you how to be humans, I would pay to see that. You have to be mentally challenged to mistreat animals like that. No animal should have to endure that. I don't see how you call yourselves human. I wish the powers that be would put an end to this awful, inhumane practice.
Training is part of taming elephants like you tame and train kids for education like army train soldiers , like colleges train their professional course ... try stopping bull fight in Spain .... that's the cruelest not taming an elephant for betterment of itself and people around it .... practice not eating beef or for that matter any animal ... That's cruelty ..
You do elephant's work and go for rescue operation then there will be no need for elephant Unknowingly wild animals enters or comes near to village areas it will lead to loss of human life sometimes animals life too inorder to maintain gap these tamed elephants are used to dislocate wild life These elephants are are not used for begging or any kind of money making Machines they are taken good care by karnataka government elephants are fed well left to wild medical support everything is provided
