This is the story of the Gizmondo - the worst-selling video game system of all time.
It's a story of violence, Windows CE, Swedish mafias, missing money, and sticky balls. And in the end, it all culminated in the crash of a one-of-a-kind Ferrari on a highway in California.
This is The Art of Failure - Gizmondo: Life and Death.
Announced in mid-2022, this one took over a year and some to get to a point I was happy with, hence why it's now releasing in December 2023! It's also my way to wrap up not only The Art of Failure but Stuff We Play as a whole.
In the past 18 months, my husband and I have moved to Germany, I've begun working in a creative role in the video game industry, and I've been fortunate enough to get to speak at events on topics related to my field at events ranging from Gamescom & Devcom to local industry meetups, with more planned for next year.
That said, while I still love producing videos, RU-vid at this point is a hobby, and I'd honestly like to make content on subjects not strictly related to the industry I work in for a living. I'll still be (hopefully) active on Bluesky and Tiktok though, and have already dipped my toes there into making content based on urban planning and my pet snail, Snelly.
