Thank you for amazing video. Let me ask you something. What's the Primitive? Is it another camping ground? Or just the place to camp available in nature?
Primitive as used in the video means typically designated campsites around the park that have no amenities such as toilets/ water and you typically have to hike to get to them. It is not a campground and yes is a place to camp in nature. Usually only a very few spots but in amazingly beautiful remote places. Mainly for people who are intermediate to advanced camper/hikers who have both the gear and know how to backcountry camp. Must be knowlegable on how to avoid bears such as cook away from where you sleep and always hang food away from camp. Also should be knowlegable about how to properly Sh#^ in the woods lol.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE Glacier National Park, the last time I was there was in 2008! One day I'll get back there and this is a super helpful video with all the options - you were not kidding when you said complete guide! lol Awesome work Garrett, Charlie ;-)
I have been to Glacier a number of times over the many years. I have both camped and stayed at a number of the lodges. I think that the best deal are the low cost cabins at Swift Current Motor Inn.
Are you speaking currently or in general. Because at the time I was in Glacier National Park there were showers available for guests of Apgar Campground. A lot of campgrounds have closed showers due to covid concerns. So please just confirm if you’ve been recently and I can update the video in the description so that others are aware before they go. This is a big deal to me so I hope we can resolve this. Thanks
Hi. I have camped at Apgar, every loop, for over the last ten years and there are no showers there. There is a shower at Many Glacier close to the campground at the Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge and you buy tokens at the gift store. St. Mary campground has a loop with showers and all campers may use them. When at Apgar you buy a shower outside the park. Apgar remains a fine campground however mainly due to its proximity to Lake Mcdonald. Thanks for the inquiry I love Glacier. I dont like my keyboard at all however.
@@lifeisforadv Please dont be offended by my comments. I enjoy your videos and appreciate what you are doing. I do not want to reveal where to get a shower near Apgar as it may lead to overcrowding and difficulty accessing a hot shower when needed.
I would say you’re a great credible resources then 🙂 Cool thanks for that, even the government site says there’s showers and I drove through Apgar Campground filming and researching for the videos (I stayed at the village inn while in the area). Again, thanks for the info and I’ll update the description.
Yeah over the years of short and brash comments on RU-vid (not saying your was) I have created a tunnel vision mindset that as long as we are all just trying to keep true to the main point of all this which is helping get the right info to others then all comments are welcome. I see you understand the huge undertaking of video production from doing the activity, filming, researching, scripting, editing, final editing, final final editing, and publishing. I try to be as accurate as possible but it’s a lot on my plate. But yeah, I appreciate your feedback and by all means appreciate your comment and thanks for clarifying as well. Your feedback helps others get the right info and yes, I understand we are all allowed to keep our secret spots 😂 cheers bud
