Music is half the battle for a movie. Star Wars wouldnt be "Star Wars" if the main theme song was trash or didnt have "Binary Sunset" as a theme song for the Force and Luke Skywalker.

the thing is, they did see "this". When a trailer is made, various versions are cut around town - all with different music, and there was 100% a version with Now We Are Free in it, as well as probably countless other HZ versions. Ultimately paramount is the one who decides which trailer they run with, and this comes from the top. The trailers are also tested in front of audiences, so they would have compared several versions. I get it, it feels great with the score music in it, but people acting like this is something Paramount somehow just didn't know is kinda hilarious. ;) They tried it. They tested it. Some execs at the top decided they dont want it, for whatever reason.

@@ADedits9 I'm not guessing. They know the IP, but some execs are really dead-set on not doing the expected or whatever. Most trailers have cuts by every other trailer house in town, this would have had like 10,20 cuts to choose from, all with different music. Not saying I agree with it, I'm just telling you, this isn't a surprise to paramount. Lol. Its not like they're like "Oh wow this is so emotional I never thought of this".

I have never been one to complain about "unnecessary sequels". Not usually bothered by it - if a movie is good it's good. But man. Gladiator is an all time great film and a personal favorite, and I really feel like it should remain untouched. This doesn't look bad, and I hope to be surprised pleasantly, but I think some stories end where they end and should stay as they are

Gladiator is for me one of the best films I've seen, speaking both for the story and especially for the soundtrack. When the trailer for Gladiator 2 came out I was very saddened by what they did with a soundtrack that has nothing to do with the film. Thank you for what you did, it was extraordinary.

That is so much better and so much more immersive and makes me want to see it. With the official production trailer I got distracted with other things I was working on at my desk and didn't pay attention to the whole thing until the 3rd viewing. This one just grabs your attention from the get go and makes you want to look up the release date.

This trailer should be shown along with the original in cinema schools as an example of what the music can do for the tone of a movie. You tranformed an awful trailer that makes me want to stay away from theaters into one that got me hyped for what the movie could have been. Never saw the original so didn't know how to feel about the Now we are free, but fixing the trailer by putting this music instead with the visual is masterful, sad and ominous yet hopeful that is what i feel when i watch this trailer with the new music, as opposed to the OG one where i felt nothing
