Plot : Several decades after the events of Gladiator (2000), Lucius-the grandson of Rome's former emperor Marcus Aurelius and son of Lucilla-lives with his wife and child in Numidia. Roman soldiers led by general Marcus Acacius invade, forcing Lucius into slavery. Inspired by the story of Maximus, as depicted in the original 2000 film, Lucius resolves to fight as a gladiator while opposing the rule of the young emperors Caracalla and Geta.

What the hell! Now don't get me wrong the first Gladiators was inaccurate and I will forever rant about it, but for the love of God two is messed up!!!!!! The visual effects looks amazing, but what the hell with the rest!!! Also if you want to put Denzel Washington in ancient times, why couldn't it be a accurate movie about a certain time period of the Egyptians and or Nubians!?!?!

You can see they’re trying match the legacy with the scale of it. unfortunately, I feel the first one was a classic that needed no continuation, that should have been left as it is, kinda like Highlander and maybe Ironman’s death in Endgame. Some stories are just good enough as it is, let it be.

Roger Ebert gave the original movie two starts out of a possible four. Other major reviewers did nor agree with the Academy of Motion Pictures who nominated the film in seven categories with wins for lead actor and best picture. LOL at people judging G2 based on trailers.

Great, but I still think a Spartacus reboot would be better, there is enough story for a trilogy (the TV/streaming show was very entertaining). It's staring movie makers right in the face and nobody is jumping on this, just my opinion, I'll take a Gladiator 2 :) I LOVE THIS SH!T
