I will probably watch it, but totally agreed; as someone that appreciates music from all eras, modern and old, can I say that the choice of music for the trailer is kind of off-putting and does not fit the whole atmosphere of the movie? Also, I thought Maximus kid was also killed in the first one and this would be about Commodus' (Joaquin Phoenix) nephew (the other kid) all grown up.

Totally agree with you guys! This is an absolute Day-1 must see movie. Could be the best movie we have had in years if Ridley stuck to his guns for real this time. Yeah the trailer music was a little odd, but rewatching the trailer a few times it made sense. Plus they won’t have it in the actual movie obviously. Can’t wait to see this one!

I was honestly looking forward to see this as soon as I started watching the trailer just two things really through me off Denzel’s monotone acting it kinda reminded me of Kevin Costners acting in RobinHood Prince of thieves and the Jay Z track that’s really what made me wince I’m hoping it’s good but I’ll wait till it comes to streaming I don’t trust Hollywood enough

Kinds of silly speculations happen when kids watch big folks movies. The Director of this movie and the original gladiator is Ridley Scott, one of the foremost directors in the world.. I doubt Ridley needs a cash job grab. His brother Tony Scott., directed a great many of Denzel’s movies. unfortunately Tony committed to5-7 years ago and it’s thought it was because there was a terminal diagnosis of cancer, my point is it really doesn’t need the money, he’s married to actress, Helen Mirren. I sure they do not need the money..
