I remember that day in October 2017 on Mallorca when my regular pub was closed. My Bayern played Celtic and I bumped into this group of Scots. It was one superb evening and no team from wherever has this kind and still die hard supporters.

in 1961, rangers travelled to wolverhampton to play wolverhampton wanderers in the European cup winners cup. true to form, their supporters ran riot through the town destroying everything in their path. in an article appearing in the English press shortly afterwards they were described as 'coming across the border like marauding huns'. thus, a humorous accurate and nonsectarian term of endearment was created for the rangers.

The main two sides in Scotland are the Celtics - pronounced Kel-Ticks and The Rangers. It's the Rangers who are the biggest club having won the world cup several times and the Euro cup also many times. They play in blue and are from the city of Glasgow. Their rivals are the Celtics. They come from rival city Edinberg and they play in all green. The Celtics have never won the world cup but they got a one-off euro win in the 1920s. The Rangers play at Hampton Palace ground and The Celtic play at Aberdeen ground.
Since when is Celtic from Edinburgh and is aberdeen ground their stadium? And since when are the rangers playing in hampton palace? Btw the rangers money is gone so yeah...
@sean2john2 culture is 1 I actually do have more respect for than some others, maybe because we're neighbours & although there's been plenty of bad deeds between us & oppression of the Irish by the British, there's also been a fair amount of meaningful interaction between our cultures. Brits (including Scots) sometimes sing Irish songs & Irish people sometimes sing Scottish songs etc. I know that this is true of many countries (e.g. US), but there is a common bond between the people of these
