I'm still here as well, and I frequently wear my old glass cloud shirts. Also, probably more importantly, Josh Travis still posts music on his channel. If there's two things that are constant in this world, it's gravity and Josh Travis' ability to write the heaviest riffs, so have faith that as long as he's around, he's going to be putting out music, and there will always be a little GC sound in it.

This is obliviously a very experimental EP solely dedicated to the inclusion of 9-string guitars and improvement in the unclean-vocal department. However, I'm conflicted when it comes to the amount (or lack thereof) of "mathy" progression like their first release or even the Danza years that Josh is known for mastering.

I've spoken to Josh about this same thing. He said his 9 string didn't "speak" to him in terms of the more mathy Danza/Royal Thousand/WKGS stuff. This definitely was to just get his 9 material written (that he's had written for like 2-3 years at this point) finally released.

ive heard these style of vocals copy and pasted everywhere, Sadly i want to like this but it just sounds cokie cutter... and almost like they are hard just to be hard, i almost see no point... Im glad you like it they deserve some level of atttention... but i have a hard time hearing anything truly unique anymore... perhaps i should see a therapist

I was not crazy about this track at first, but after listening to it at least once a day, it really grows on you. But I also hope for cleans and a less totally heavy sound on the rest of the EP. If not though, having a bunch of heavy songs is good too! I'm not complaining to that.

There aren't enough bands in this current 8/9 string phase (a phase that I hope continues on btw) that do only harsh vocals. most do clean and harsh, some are instrumental, but only a few drop the happy shit for a change. this ep and TAS's coma witch are keeping me afloat at this point. and obviously the almighty 'shuggs

Sometimes successful touring bands don't have enough time to write a full length album inbetween tours and be satisfied with it. EPs inbetween albums are a good way to keep the fans happy and interested with some fresh tracks whilst not taking up too much time to record produce and release.
