An other option to couple Ipad is to use them as dedicated screens by using Splashtop Wired XDisplay or Duet Display on Window. Its an app on the Ipad and a client on the computer. Than you can directly pop out on the Ipad without a extra monitor because the Ipad becomes the extra monitor
Spacedesk working well for one android tablet without aditional monitor It makes a virtual monitor and works well Unable to make the third ;) Thank u for the make of this video . Like much better Happy landings
when you use the browser viewer to connect to server, it allows only one connection. But if you download the spacedesk app to your android device you can connect up to 16 or 32 devices. I tried to connect through browser like u did in the beginning. When I downloaded the app the problem solved. As I said you can connect only 1 machine through browser and many devices with app.
How do I move the MFD popup to the IPAD display? I tried to drag it over but it didn't work. Also my PC does not recognize the IPAD as second display. Any suggestions?
I have 1 problem, So when I connect my pc to my iPad it’s all fine in all but in ur iPad there is just one screen that shows your speed and stuff but for me when I connect it’s like I’m air playing my iPad to my pc so basically my msfs game is basically connect to my iPad and all I want is one screen Thank you!
Hey thanks for the video, how about the performances ? does a VNC system limit the performance loss ? or would it be better to use something as Xdisplay to send over the feed by cable directly from the pc to an ipad ?
How can this be set multiple monotors? I have 4 monitors. DCS World is easy to set up, but I haven't figured it out yet with MSFS 2020. Please, give me an advice.
Hey! Great video, was wondering how do you only show the instrument displays on the ipad, i followed your steps but all the ipad does is mirror the display on my PC instead of only the instrument displays please comment
My only problem is when I right alt+left click the pfd or mfd I get a severe fps drop. Even tho I'm only at 65% cpu 43% gpu 81%ram usages. Any suggestions? This happens before the ui window even leaves my main screen.
This one and spacedesk do the same trick but the problem is your gpu trying to serve another screen. Normally I get around 40 fps on MFSF 2020 and when I use apps like this, my fps drops to 25-30. So this makes around %30 fps drop which makes your sim experience very bad. It is already very difficult to get high fps on mfsf 2020 with one display and when you increase the displays it is very bad experience. When I use 2 tablets. I drop to 20 fps.
Salve ho un problema quando vado a connettermi con il tablet ho la stessa immagine del monitor non riesco a prendere solo l'avionica e spostarlo nel tablet!!! Grazie
Thanks so much for this guide. However, even though I add -sharedisplay 3 to the end of the target line the iPad shows all 4 of my screens. I follow the instructions exactly. Any ideas?
Bonjour mon ami j'aurais une question comment afficher 2 fois chaque écrans des instruments de Airbus 320 je voudrais faire un homme cockpit merci beaucoup pour ton aide qui est très précieuse
I've actually looked into buying two Lenco TFT-1028 10" screens, they aren't that expensive (112 eur with a resolution of 1024x600). That would be the best solution.
Henrique Coelho good question! Haven’t tried on fs2020, but at least i used in excel and the touch worked pretty well (when you touch something it casts a mouse click). Also keep in mind that not all mfd or pfd have touchscreens in game, usually have “physical buttons” so you cannot interact using the ipad.
How is the G940 system working for you? My stick has no force feedback and just hangs sloppy as if isn't even plugged in yet. Makes it unusable for me.
I like your setup, with a tv as a monitor. I have a 27-inch monitor, and I was just thinking of getting a 43-inch TV to use with MSFS 2020. How many inches is yours?!?! Are you comfortable with that size or is it too big? ... THANK YOU
Hey! Great video, was wondering how do you only show the instrument displays on the ipad, i followed your steps but all the ipad does is mirror the display on my PC instead of only the instrument displays
I am sorry but could not understand the titles of the two pieces of software campusto refers to at the beginning of the video. would someone please be kind enough to tell me.
He’s essentially moving the cockpit display pop-out screens to the display behind him. Then using VNC to share display 2 (the one behind him) to the iPad.
@@springbok4015 So the popped-up (ALT-GR + click) display will continue to be shown on that second monitor, while at the same time it will also be mirrored onto the tablet/iPad, correct?
@@coriscotupi As far as I'm aware, that is correct. You'd need to have a VNC server installed on your PC and sharing the second screen. The iPad can then connect to the VNC server and view/interact with the second display.
I had some problems with it too; you have to follow the instructions to the letter, otherwise it won't work. Tip: There is a difference if you are using it in app or service mode.
just use spacedesk it turns any device that has a web browser or their are apps for android and IOS into a second screen also it just works no need to fiddle with it
@@ooof5281 make sure in you windows display setting you not just mirroring you primary monitor just right click on the desktop and go down to display setting then scroll down till you see multiple monitor and make sure it says extend these displays you can also use this to make sure your second monitor is placed correctly like if you i pad is under your primary monitor you cam use the display setting to make sure the new screen is under your primary screen by default windows puts new monitors to the left of your primary monitor other then those things you should just simply be able to drag the pop out window to what ever screen you want now if you are using the ATC VOR or the Check List those you need to click the box that normally minimizes or expands window's and that will undock it from the main flight sim window and then allow you to move it to ware you want
@@campusto Oh man, thank you very, very much. It just didn't occur to me to manually assign it as it didn't appear the same way as my Extreme 3D Pro. Again, thank you, really.
Well explained. Thank you :D What I do not get is, what is the advantage of this solution instead of looking to (using) the 2 Garmins on your screen? Isn't it a bit confusing to have 4 Garmins same time?
Very cool ! Do you know if there is a way to share let say a virtual desktop of windows ? (the CTRL + windows + right arrow thing) instead of a second screen ? Would be awesome for a single screen user like me :) Thank you anyway !
I don't think that is possible, but you *can* "fake" a second screen in Windows. Just needs a bit more work. I couldn't dive into that one in the scope of this video, but it is totally possible! Maybe I'll do a follow up. :)
@@campusto Oh ok, I didn't know that was possible to fake a second screen, if you do the follow up that would be great, but again thank you anyway for this tutorial :)
I have 2 old ipads (ios 9 only). Will they work with this software? (e.g. Duet Display requires a later ios). Also, how does the PC connect to the ipads (wifi, bluetooth, etc.)? Thanks very much.
@@rayzimmermin good news --the app works with ios 9.3.5. But I am using Trackir5 and the ipad screen simply follows my view. How did you get the ipad screens to stay with the glass cockpit views? Also, it seems they were preconfigured at game start-up. How achieved? Thanks.
@@tuffguy007 it sounds like your Ipad is just duplicating you main screen so without having the game running right click on the Desktop and go to display settings from their scroll to the bottom ware it says multiple displays and make sure you have it set to extend these displays and not any of the others in game hold right alt unless you have changes it like i have while hovering your mouse over the glass cockpit you want to use you should see a magnifying glass icon then click the glass cockpit and it should pop up into a new window then you should be able to drag that window to your ipad and use it without track IR messing with it but to be honest i do not use track IR so i don't know if maybe that is having a conflict but it should not be conflicting me personally i use a 3d connect space mouse for POV movement
Well, you could do this with a virtual second screen, but I couldn't go there in the scope of this video. Google "virtual second screen on Windows 10" to get started.
It's a prototype HyperX 300Hz 49" OLED.... OR it's just a budget Philips 4K TV (49PUT6101) I put a HyperX sticker on! ;) Bought it for 374 eur from an outlet store almost 4 years ago.
It seems you omitted the post important part, how to connect with the sim. In you video you installed and magically a display appeared, that did not work for me. Felt like a waste of my time. Thanks for taking your time, I was hoping it worked. Ok
You should not connect to sim. Rightalt+click opens separate window with PFD image. Then you move this window to second monitor and stream it to ipad/ Works for me
@@campusto spacedesk is free also and can be used with anything that haves a web browser or with the IOS or android app so it can be used on what ever device you have available also even if its outdated and the app cant install on it you can just use the devises web browser also you do not need a second scree as it is a second screen you can also use multiple devises as many as you want it also lets you use your devises touch screen as the mouse auto rotate and so much more you can have one screen for your PFD your MFD your ATC and even your check list i currently use spacedesk and have not payed anything to do so so maybe you should actualy look into spacedesk before just dismissing it also spacedesk just works no monkeying with settings or what not just install and use
@@rayzimmermin The problem with Spacedesk is you need a fast tablet with WiFi 5g in order to get it working well. I tried it with an old Galaxy Tab and the main sim screen is a stutter fest, plus the Tab screen is slow as hell. May be the VNC server method works better, I will try it.
@@MrNangu im using an old acer tablet that dose not have wifi5 and my pc is an old fx8350 16gb ram and an rtx2060 by all accounts i should not even be able to play flight sim let alone with other apps like space desk running yet i play it on high setting with spacedesk and a second moniter and still get 40 fps and my tab screen keeps up so idk what your talking about
@@rayzimmermin Well, good for you. I'm talking about my experience with that software and my old Samsung 10" tablet. With my Snapdragon 845 phone it runs fine. I'm only commenting that on some devices it doesn't work very well so the VNC way described on this video may be the solution.
