Every win over Florida no matter how ugly is totally awesome. Enjoy it! One of three wins over Florida in 20 years. The statistics or records never matter. Florida always plays their best game of the year against Tennessee and they did this time too. Tennessee has a serious defense. The offense needs better blocking, more QB designed runs, roll nico out, more misdirection runs and work the screen game. All Tennessee needs on offense is connect on those deep balls and people will shut up about how bad the offense is playing against what should be considered two rivals in the past two games and it will look similar against Alabama. Just win. Winning with defense is acceptable when other teams do it. GBO !

Good thing college football doesn't play every game of the season on the same Saturday. Each week has its own challenges. Just like Alabama can't brag about beating Georgia after losing to vandy and nearly losing at home to South Carolina. Each game presents opportunities to show better or worse than the one before

The NIL deal and Heisman talk put Nico under the microscope with expectations he is not capable of living up to. He probably will never be elite, but I expect him to improve next year with more experience.

Tennessee's 2nd victory over Florida within the last three seasons (most since 2001 to 2004), Tennessee is now 2-0 vs Florida in OT (1st being their national championship season in 1998, both in Knoxville). However, this is the 8th conference game out of the last 11 conference games for Tennessee in which they scored 25 points or less. While it's great Tennessee beat a team they rarely beat, Tennessee has GOT to score points. And it starts with the O-Line protecting NICO.

The problems not just Nico who was overly hyped as being the second coming! Tennessee without pitifully out-coached in the Arkansas game. There a wholesale problems in the program and game day preparation seems to be one of them!

Let's compare Arch Manning with Nico: STATS 2024 -ARCH (started 2 games and relief in 2 games): CM ATT CMP% YDS TD INT 55 78 70.5 901 9 2 2024- NICO (started 6 games): 94 143 65.7 1,219 7 3 I like Nico but maybe he just will not live up to the hype. Arch appears to be light years ahead of Nico.

After watching the Vols play, my analysis is Iamaleava is a RS Freshman and has only seven starts in his very young career and is going to get better and better the more he plays. This situation reminds me of the Penn State offense last year with a highly rated Drew Allar being a second year QB with high expectations leading an offense that didn't produce in the passing game (their OL was not playing well either), but had a great defense that kept them in games. Allar is in his third season now and playing at a much higher level, and their OL is playing better this year. The QB position is the most difficult position in football with a lot to process and requires experience to play at a high level, so I expect him to get better as the year goes on and the offense to follow suit. Similar to Allar, next year may be his break out season if the OL progresses with the new starters the Vols will have next year.

Nico seems to be more confused & indecisive week after week. OL isn’t progressing especially tackles. & tempo is slowing to a crawl. But Defense playing well. & 5&1 keeps us as a possible playoff team. But my expectations drop with every game. Keep looking for the lights to come on? Offensive tackles r poor. They are killing us.they probably arent in shape bc they missed so much camp so no hurry up. If we win this yr it will b bc of defense and kicking game. We will have to just live with it. Unfortunately heupel and our ol coach are best buds so we are stuck with this slop of an ol.

We still match up better with Bama than this UF team. UF will beat Vandy and Vandy will not be scoring 40 on them. Second half offense was better but also Nico is coming along. Bench Campbell lol

Freshman quarterbacks struggle,Nico will get better

Bend but not break defenses keep our offense off the field, preventing them from the opportunity to score. We have played 6 mediocre to poor teams and offenses, defense is playing good but the real tests are coming and we’ll see if they can perform against good to great offenses. We’re one dimensional and won’t make the playoffs if we don’t change that. We’re already falling outside the top 10, another loss or two and playoffs are done. We have the talent, let’s adjust and deliver.

Half full. Look this time last year UT lost to Florida. They won and with a redshirt freshman making his first season as QB1. Nico is doing better than Ole Miss and Missouri QBs, two formerly top 10 ranked teams.

Nico is Guarantano 2.0. The whole on field product feels like the Pruitt era. Danny White is an ass for charging us NIL fees to watch this crap

Show host, you’re not helping. Most problems have a root cause. Fat and lazy o tackles having to hold because they can’t block is that root cause. Everything else is a symptom one way or another.

Look, the offesne is horrible and i love Nico, i just dont think hes ready yet. He will be great. But put Gasten Moore in. Try him. Also, the offensive line don't belong in the SEC. BUT...our defense has held Arkansas and florida to 19 points and 17 points. Who else they played that held them that low?? I love this defense. Now, i know its going to change against teams like bama next week...but still.
