Big props and shouts out to ice cube, he didn’t have to cater and peer pressure out to the bangers and the wanna be bangers, and still kicked that real truth, ngas act like you gotta go out like a banger to live real life
Cube been becoming successful since 16 back in the 80s alot of trials and tribulations no one knows the mentality of someone who's trying to achieve he stayed focused became rhe man he is today ,I compare his youth to a little Wayne when you going city to city rolling with older dudes you rarely are the one to confront dangerous situations but your around to see and tell about them and you become a part of it just by your closeness to the situation, cube been on his fight the power stuff his whole career and as the years change subject matters to the masses and your life changes content changes but cube always kept it hard-core and that's why he's that dude he aint trying to go for the new trend to try and get popping he stayed true to hard-core b boy and that's why I'm still a fan he kept it gangsta on the mic and I am the west is one of his best, ice cube the great
*What he said about Ice Cube being a better song writer was spot on. Cube went from a raw artist to a polished artist. It’s like comparing Biggie or Nas first album to their second album. From raw to polished.*
How so??? The emceeing part, I agree with, but “Death Certificate” within itself is a pure conscious album. Cube was reaching into Krs-One status with the song writing on that LP. And it actually started on “America’s Most Wanted.” I totally disagree with this perspective. “Death Certificate’s” song writing and content scared me as well as intrigued me. It forced me to question the things that I knew.
For as great is a song writer as Snoop is, he's not very lyrical. He just sounds good... even if all he's doing is spelling out his name. Cubes lyricism isn't always super complex... but his story telling is A1... he's the best story teller in my opinion... but WC... he's a beast at sounding good... story telling... double entendre's....metaphors...I don't understand why he so overlooked for his lyricism
I’m paraphrasing ScHoolboy Q but Drill Music is the offspring of Gangsta Rap….. WAIT: he said sum’n like that on the intro of one of Glasses’s projects.
So he mad at another Man, because he not doing what you want with his career. Do it yourself Partna. I'm willing to bet Cube doesn't know his lyrics though. They are in different age gaps, so Cube with wife and kids can't continue to give you the black bayou want. Grow Up Black Man. Don't get me wrong I like G Malones music but like I said they are in 2 different ages. Cubes career was crazy till he was able to control his destiny
