Worn glasses all my life. That's almost 50 graciously beautiful years. Couldn't live without my glasses. I've always believed it's not what you wear but how you wear it. Over the years I've worn more bolder frames, mostly hand made in Japan and some from Italy. Current pairs are from JMM and Cutler and Gross. I have a confession to make 😂. Came across your channel for whatever reason. I have 'devoured' every video you uploaded in the last 2 years, just in a week. I'm in search of a gem, it must be minimalistic, titanium, gold plated and must be handmade in Japan. Matsuda, Masunaga, Barton Perreira or even Dita Eyewear. Searched, but found nothing that appeals to me. Kinda lost. Shape must be Panto. I've even considered Lindberg Eyewear. Can't get Reykjavik Eyes frames here in Germany. Kinda lost, and that's driving me nuts.

Hey! So, thanks for your support. I really appreciate it, honestly. And we can ship RE to you over in Germany. They tick every box EXCEPT made in Italy rather than Japan. Usually, Italy is nowhere near to Japan in terms of titanium manufacturing, but RE use a very exclusive, small workshop and they have it down to an art. Honestly, they might as well be Japanese. Aside from that, you could also look at Cartier? Their titanium frames are gold plated and made in Japan.

Brilliant video. Great showcase with amazing combination frame designs. The Jasper looks cool but I love the Marc with the blue and gold. Yes please👍I think I'm more minimalist but bold is cool too! 😎

Minimalistic and vintage is my look. I usually prefer acetate for sunglasses and titanium or stainless steel for everyday frames. My style is very casual. I mostly wear jeans with t-shirts or Hawaiian shirts. I love Reykjavik, Flair, Lindberg, Mykita, Matsuda,LaFont, Moscot and Barton Perreira frames.

It's all about personality and lifestyle. For me, I have to start with an everyday pair. Must be something comfortable, light and no too bold. This one I use for general living if I may say so. But, there're cases when I could use something more ostentatious and eye-catching. I do deliver speeches on conferences now and then; when you're on the stage, a bit of statement with your glasses isn't a bad idea. Dinning out at a fine restaurant isn't exactly a place for your most understated wardrobe pieces including glasses either. Celebrations in general call for some boldness on one's face too. So, for me it's at least two pairs: one everyday, understated option and one statement piece. Everyone's lifestyle is different, so other people may require a different set.

Adam is way too bold but I respect his choice, suits his personality. I personally would go for in-between to thin but again not too thin. What I'm learning is that comfort, individual taste and personality is a big plus in choice of eyewear.

Thanks guys for putting this together. I couldn’t really say that there’s a winner in this debate. I feel that you’ve both educated me on the reasons to go minimalistic or bold. Personally I tend to be more minimalistic like Robert, but Adam makes very valid points as to how you could express yourself with bolder looks. Have a good weekend guys 🤜🏽🤛🏽

I have worn glasses since I was 8 years old, 68 now. The only frames my parents allowed were plain black semi-chunky frames. I'm platinum blonde and can't express my dislike for big plastic frames. But I am an artist so I express my style with color or interesting design. In the US Ovvo is common, IC Berlin is seen occasionally. I am tending to something metal with color. I have been thinking about some chunkier clear frames with photochromic though...

At 3.24 you did yourself proud. The rest don’t do you justice. You guys should take a look at David Beckham’s eyewear… You will be surprised… Forget Tom Ford. Both are Italian made and one is cheaper!

Yet another consideration is the field you work in and the dress code. Lawyers and corporate employees for example should avoid wearing thick flashy glasses like the plague when at work, whereas people working in more creative fields can easily get away with thicker, bolder glasses. It also depends on the dress code the employer imposes, many corporate offices have rules about what styles of glasses employees are and aren't allowed to wear in the office.

To be honest, I have not seen a person who can carry bold frames like Adam do. ON the other hand, Robert you carry minimalist frames and tints extremely well. therefore, IMO it boils down to the dressing and look (hair color and hairstyle). Experiment: Robert dyes his hair blond and Adam dyes his black…then Robert tries the bold frames again while Adam does the opposite. Then lets see….
