You can click on the shield icon next to a material and it will protect it from being purged after closing the file, if it's not attached to a mesh.

@@KennyPhases oh and you can Ctrl T to quickly bring up a UV, mapping and image texture node setup all connected, if you enable the Node Wrangler addon. Thank you for this tutorial, this thing with the camera was very useful to me.

Great! Just a small tip, don't change the IOR and leave it at 1.4, which is the IOR of glass. 1.2 is very low, it's lower than the IOR of water which is around 1.33 and thus your glass is not physically accurate and realistic. I would suggest using an IOR list for your materials, there are plenty of them on the internet

Thank you! I actually normally check the list online to make sure I'm using the correct IOR. This demonstration for this material isn't meant to be realistic, but rather abstract and stylistic. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hello.... When we stick a plexiglass panel to another to get more thickness and a larger size, then cut it in the form of a prism and polish it Is it possible in this way to get a prism? Can we get the colors of the Rainbow ? Is this how we can refine it into shapes without problems?

Certain Materials may or may not be supported in Unity, but I believe you would select your object and export as an FBX file! Try that and let me know if you can import than into Unity!

How do I get light to pass thru? I have an emission mat behind my glass but don’t see it. Enabled all the refracting stuff in ever but nothing. Would be a huge help if u had some info on this

Check your roughness. Also make sure you're using Cycles and you're in Rendered Preview mode!

you can resize it within the viewport by selecting the edges/corners and clicking/dragging, otherwise, you can do the same thing in the light's properties panel manually with the input boxes. Please let me know if this helps!

at 2:24 why did you cut out the settings needed to make this work? I followed the steps necessary and my glass isn't transparent because I don't know what settings need to be enabled/disabled.

you need to be in cycles mode. in the properties editor, usually in the right lower corner there is some tabs. click the second-to-top tab which is render properties, and in the menu switch render engine from eevee to cycles

I believe it might be possible with the correct settings in Evee, I have not tried this yet. Cycles works best for this!

I don't know! You can try turning all the settings up in Evee! This works best in Cycles in my Experience!
