Being there when it actually can’t anymore

I have been hospitalized here, because I am damaged beyond recovery.
I have COPD, Lung Emphysema, last stage ...
My relationship with Sylvia started about 2 years ago.
We were introduced to each other by the WOT-team in Schiedam.
Because we were both alone and wanted a friend, a mate, for life.
This friend means a lot to me. Because she is always there for me whenever she can.
Yes; a very special woman.
We are 1Minuut Healthcare Innovation. We develop software for healthcare.
We support video calling from the Vuzix Smart Glass.
Within Argos we have started various sub-projects, where we put this into practice.
Healthcare is more than care giving. Healthcare is also about quality of life.
The moment you can give a patient a certain experience, that does not necessarily have to do with the care. But more like; how you appreciate life.
In this way we think we can provide added value with the Glass.
So that, people can experience a spark of happiness.
I have always loved zoos. And I used to go often, with the children.
Now I have not been there for a few years. So specially now wanted to go, to that zoo.
It wasn’t ment to be, the last years.
My friend went to stream with the glasses, with the app, in Blijdorp.
And I was allowed to watch that, through her eyes.
And that's just yes yes such a fantastic experience.
And yes, she does, and cause she does for me, making it twice as nice.
Still we did something together.
The added value of the Smart Glass in this context is in my experience,
on side the lady is not noticing she is streaming.
She is wearing the Smart Glass. She is experiencing the situation just as she would without.
And instead of walking around with a smartphone, she is just experience the moment.
And that makes it more pure, especially for those at distance. Yes, to experience that together.
The people who are not physically there, can still be there. They are just there, live it seems. Based on her reactions, she was very positive. And I know, because I know her through and through, she deeply loved this day.
The suddenly it touched me. In a split second I suddenly realized.. Euh, from eh, yes, this is real, this is fun ..
But also become aware,
you won’t be here for long anymore,
and still, I have been given this experience.
Healthcare is more than giving care ...
Because every person is worth it.
