That note at 2:50 absolutely takes my breath away each and every time I hear it. Phenomenal precision, delivery, control, passion, and deep conviction in her belief of what she’s singing. She’s absolutely fantastic without a doubt. I believe that there are those who are talented and there are those who are gifted respectively, and I doubt that anyone here would disagree with my opinion that Amber Riley is without question one of the rare artists who has been gifted with raw talent.
can we concentrate on the fact that kurt gave this church a chance. i know that religion is weird or dumb to some people and that is ok, but why not try it out ? my sister is gay, she visited our church hundred of times, they wouldnt let her down... they know her, but maybe thats also because we are a small town, still we are there for each other. we have muslims (actually a childhood-friend of mine) in our choir too. they go to church, they just dont eat the bread or are active in it ... but we accept everyone
The thing I don't like about this whole ordeal between Kurt and Mercedes is how she forces religion onto someone who's made it pretty clear that they're not interested, and then plays the victim card despite the fact that Kurt is just saying that he's not religious.
I'm a Muslim, and a member of a church choir too 😁 there are 3 of us , even the other 2 wear hijab and they are part of the 5 singers that often got solos , so yeah it's only a matter of doing what you love and believe in what you chose to believe in
@@rireigmaki6336 not every person in my church is kind. It's a small town and people talk... I know some dark secrets, but how dark and hidden your secrets are, a church should welcome you. To have a community saves people. And they have me. My God gave me hands and feet to use and I'll use them on everyone.
So I have mixed feelings about this episode. As a Christian some of these topics were a little bit offensive. Not that Kurt has to believe in God or anything but to put down some people’s beliefs is super rude. HOWEVER I truly love this scene because first of all it shows Mercedes amazing voice but also that the church prayed for him but didn’t push their beliefs on him just gave him their support which I love. Love or hate this episode, believe in God or not NO ONE can deny Amber Riley’s OUTSTANDING VOICE!!! ❤️❤️🙌👍
The glee season and episodes are the best because they are the best singers and friends and the best actors ever and i don't know how to sing because my brothers think i stink at singing do you think so

Its funny the ones that have a problem with this mercedes didnt force him to believe in god she was showing support in his time of need in the best way she knew how and clearly he was touched by the kindness shown not the whole believing in god but just thats hes not alone and im sorry but if youre a fan of rachael then you have no say here lets be real
He's already convinced himself that he's a nonbeliever. So, he wasn't going to be moved by the song. Nonbelievers don't receive prayers, praise and worship like a believer does. It motivates us and give us hope. And to them, it's a temporary feeling.

They were always making her down. Even though she was obviously the best singer on this ridiculous Glee club😅🤣 When Jesse said she was lazy and need more practice bla. What is she doing in the church. Eating chicken wings or singen her voice out. Every freaking song that she sang was amazing. No matter if the song was like a billion years old or was a boring musical Ballade or a new R&nb, Pop, Hip Hop song. That is talent! Or when Amber sang And I am telling you,live, on Glee club and Rachel still got all the solos,that’s why I said ridicules,because they were hyping her too much, but whatever atleast the „real“ talents on that show got enough time to shine. Otherwise the Show had probably flopped hahah

I was shocked when she announced his lack of faith in the middle of church. That genuinely scared me ngl. Great singing this episode but the pushing of religion was.... not my favorite
Superb performance from a superb singer. But this episode did not sit well with me. Kurt is very specific about not believing in a god, yet his friends keep shoehorning in their beliefs and faith into his worry and grief. Indeed, at one point Mercedes says she doesn't know how to talk to Kurt anymore, unsubtly implying their friendship is possibly over because of his lack of a religious faith beforecajoling him to go to church. There were ways of supporting him and his dad without bringing their own faith into it. They could have offered prayers on their own time without having to declare it if they really thought prayer would help. And they could have quietly accepted that their supposed friend didn't want religion involved.
Miss Bumblebee not understanding what you are saying? In this situation, this is how this style of singing is sung, it’s gospel. If you listen to her other songs the girl can sang, this just shows her versatility to sing any style music 🤷🏾♂️

she doesn’t have the same tone quality as she does in other episodes compared to this song. i noticed this as well, she sounds much too high pitched for how amber riley usually sings
Agree my uncle is dead and i never met him but i have a special place in my heart for him. And his fav song was bridge over troubled water love the original but sometimes for me it is a bit over the top.
