Lauren Karina I’m sorry but let’s be real: The Unholy Trinity barely had chemistry. They weren’t even friends most of the time. However, Troubletones had an actual strong friendship and supported each other and wanted the best for each other. Example: Mercedes getting Santana and Brittany spots on her tour. I do love both groups tho but IMO Troubletones > Unholy Trinity.
They were much better than the Glee club because they were actually sharing the stage equally rather than having just one singing diva and a bunch of backup singers

The fact that Mr Schue thought they were so screwed when literally he had the girls on his side, and just kept ignoring their talents instead of letting them shine, shows how much of a mess he was.
Plenty of people allow one particular person to bully their way into the spotlight and just expect other talented people to stay in the background. He knew how talented they were, but he just counted on them to stay as backup for Rachel.

Clearly Mr. Shue agrees, cause right after they do that amazing harmony, he buries his face in his hands. One of the best "Oh God what have I done?" moments in television.
You said a mouth full. They should have let Naya, Britney and Mercedes have a more singing roles which would have given the show a much needed boost. They were a much better singing group hands down.

I think part of the reason the Trouble Tones were so great was because Shelby realized that not everyone in the group was gonna be able to dance at the level of Brittany and Mike. So she gave them something simple, but showy, and everyone ends up looking like a million bucks. Shelby knew how to bring out the best in her performers and highlighted their strengths instead of trying to force them to do things they couldn't.
SHELBY WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN WILL. It's a crime that the Troubletones lost. You mean to tell me that she lead Vocal Adrenaline to first place for YEARS and had two of the New Directions' BEST singers and one of their best dancers and somehow the New Directions beat them?? WITHOUT RACHEL?? Fucking plot armour at its finest
Wouldn't have been much of a story. The ones who weren't team players get rewarded just because they have a built in (Brittana) fanbase? Didn't see Sam or Puck rebelling.
@@tschandler2 they quit because Rachel got all the (undeserved) attention, and her constant antics were tolerated. I was part of a choir where one girl got all the solos...it doesn't make you feel good.
I don't think high school students doing a song that talks about panties dropping and big dicks would play well with everyone. Wouldn't want to turn-off any of the judges.
So good to see Amber, Naya, and Heather wearing the same outfit for once, instead of Amber having a different dress to be more 'covered up.' Plus, Amber always getting the belting solo because she's the only one who can do it, but this is a song that actually calls for it.
Mercedes never used a more covered up outfit. She always use the same exact outfit as the other girls. The one that used more covered up outfits was Unique (and Zizes in some performances).

The Troubletones would’ve definitely won nationals on their own. They had the vocal talent and choreo that would decimate. They 100% would’ve won over the new directions if it wasn’t a tv show.

Despite having slept with a student, Shelby was 8 billion times better a teacher than Shue. She knew how to utilize ALL of the talent in front of her and not just the person who shouted loudest.
Those three could stole anyones spotlight without even trying and i am so satisfied that they finally got the attention they deserved in season 3 with troubletones!
Will is like “oh no wha- wai- they’re talented???? They can sing???? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!!!?!!?!! Finn did- did you know Rachel wasn’t the only one who could sing??” Meanwhile had a glee club full of incredibly talented singers with different voices he could’ve been king of glee if they ever used them. the girls had few lines in the new directions, it was just Rachel and her friends. the female revolution started there, the Troubletones showed strength and hit fearlessly with the new directions. they were the peak of glee, there was the empowerment of women in the show💖

You’re 100% right. Brittany with her dancing and hilarious out of context one liners, Santana with her voice and her brutal honestly, and Mercedes’ with her voice and personality. I like Quinn, but Santana, Brittany, and Mercedes should’ve been the unholy trinity cause Quinn was off the rails for a while.
U do have a point there. But Mercedes did take a nicer approach w her in this scene and while the troubletones was a group overall instead of just berating her.

I hated that Mercedes threw one tantrum and was told to never come back but when rachel does its all fine. Also I love the loyalty with Santana and brittnay
straight racism that troubletones lost. they were clearly the better group. mercedes and santana were the best vocalists on the team and brittany was the best dancer. all were cast aside for the underwhelming white people. a complete joke.
It’s such bias that New Directions “won”. I understand that this show was *literally* written about Rachel (Lea Michelle) & Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) but with just how powerful and perfect this specific group was (and still is).. it should’ve gotten more screen time and more of a highlight. It was great character development for the three (four with Suga) of them and showcased one of the biggest minorities. Three women: one plus-sized black woman, one lesbian latinx woman & a bisexual white woman (even though that isn’t really a minority, it’s very rare that the white person isn’t up and center). And on top of that to be lead by Shelby (Idina Menzel) was just- wow. Everything about this group was so perfect.
90% of the comment talks about Naya, Amber and Heather But can we appreciate Vanessa Lengies Aka Sugar Motta. She was an underrated actress. She was a real singer but glee really did her dirty and I think she is the one singing the intro.
The show was so fucking weird with who it cast as what: you had a dancer as a wheelchair character, dancers as singers, singers as non-singers, while Cory Monteith was the lead male and could neither sing OR dance.
I think this is one of the best performances in glee, I wish troubletones got way more screen time, they were amazing, their harmony was out of this world.

Yes, Sugar was annoying at first, but Sanatana telling her to be quiet and amber telling her to toon down her singing I don't think was the right way to go. They could have just been nicer to her and made her understand politely that she can't sing. She is a great dancer however, not as great as Brittany but she was good. They could have told her that's where her talent was, and she could have focused on that.

No mater how powerful rachel and mercedes sing you can still hear santanas vocals her voice is very unique I believe she has the best voice on the show You cant even hear Brittany
