i would like to add in one of mine: when kitty confesses to gaslighting marley into an eating disorder during the school shooting episode and then marley forgives her and it is NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN. marley girl i am so sorry.
What is worse is that she admits to gaslighting Marley, and EVERYONE STILL FUCKING BLAMED MARLEY FOR LOSING THE COMPETITION *WHEN SHE NEARLY FUCKING DIED, BULIMIA IS SERIOUS YOU JERK FACE DICKHEADS* . There is no way in this world you can blame someone for their mental illness and still call yourself a friend
Lol right? "Natalie wood was a new york jew!" Yeah, playing a Puerto Rican woman! Honestly, her ignorance and entitlement could've been forgiven from a WRITING perspective (meaning the writers would be forgiven) if she had actually been called out on it and maybe actually learned just a little from it, but nope
@@QuestionableLifeChoices Also, I’m pretty sure Natalie Wood’s singing was dubbed over by a different woman anyway, so her point made even less sense! 😂
@@QuestionableLifeChoices it's so weird because from season 1 to season 3 she supposedly has some progression but by the time we get back to season 5 it's a mess and they go back to making her an entitled brat
I really hated Quin in the first season she had the nerve to attack Finn constantly when she knew all along that the baby was not his and then claimed to love him and had the nerve to be sad when they broke up.
i mean i got why finn was mad, especially with puck, and quinn was quite abrasive in the first season, but i think people forget that puck look advantage of her ed and low self-esteem, got her drunk, lied about protection and when she had second thoughts, he gave her another drink, then got annoyed when she didn't want to raise the baby with him,
@@rubyhall8280 ok but thank you- quinn was def not a good person in the slightlest at the time but istg i rarely see people actually addressing the fact that Puck literally took emotional advantage of her + making her to be drunk just to have sex worst of all they actually end up together at the end of the series
@@sona6436 one of the many reasons I thought Quinn might be secretly closeted(not to bring this up again but you made a good point that would fit in with that theory). None of her male relationships ever seem to work out for her and at the end she goes back to someone who treated her terribly, emotionally manipulated her, and got her pregnant. She goes back to a relationship that she herself says won’t be easy on her. It’s just a weird way to end a character, like they had no idea what they were doing with the character.
@@adios5072 uhm- no hate at all but he referred to a lamp with the f slur and just because it’s a lamp don’t mean anything it was still directed at Kurt! He outed Santana, yes she bullied him but he could have came up with another insult, instead he outed her?! No matter how mad you may be you should never put some one it should be when they are ready! He got mad at Kurt for a moist towelette? Like really because he was gay. While Kurt was being bullied for being gay Finn basically stood back and let them be homophobic(this isn’t Finn being homophobic but still he should have stood up for Kurt). I like Finn he is decent half the time i guess and Cory had an amazing voice! But Finns homophobia lowkey showed at times.
my moment that makes me insanely angry is when everyone laughs off the fact that ryder was sexually assaulted and artie and sam literally congratulated him. shue was literally in the room and not him or anyone else comforted ryder or told artie and sam to knock it off. I didn’t even like ryder and i just wanted to give him a big hug.... oh I wanted to punch a wall though
How about Kurt's casual biphobia when Blaine thought he wasn't gay for a few episodes Didn't vibe with that either Like they were both Not Ideal but Unfortunately Realistic
The moment that makes me SO angry is when Kurt tells Blaine, who is questioning his sexuality and decided to confide in him, that being bi is “going back into the closet” and he gets all heated about it. THEN Blaine is like “ah yeah I guess you’re right” and they move on. Like WHATTT
But I also have mixed feelings about it, because if they did make Blaine canonically bi, and then he cheats, then that’s playing into the bs stereotype of bisexuals cheating. So, honestly, the whole thing is upsetting but I’m not completely sure how I feel about that writing decision.
@@ziedyee yeah, I know! I was talking about how they ALMOST made him canonically bisexual in that episode when Blaine was questioning but they quickly shut that down, so he is canonically gay. If he had been canonically bi, then the storyline of him cheating would have been bad for the bi community because really often bi people are unfairly thought to all be cheaters. I was trying to say that part of me wishes he had been canonically bi to give some more representation, but if he was canonically bi and they kept the cheating thing that would’ve been bad, so I don’t know if I wish he was canonically bi or not. Sorry that was really wordy 😬
@@graysonobrien1819 i get what you're saying but to be fair, Kurt was really hurt because he thought he was cheating ( I think? sorry I haven't watched glee in a while) and Blaine told him it was wrong, he apologized and Kurt never did it again. I'm not saying it's justifiable, but it is explainable and at least he learned-like, do you know what I mean?
Honestly, Rachel’s voice was so distracting when she sang I kissed a girl with Santana. There’s obv nothing wrong with Lea Michelle’s voice, but her voice is so broadway and the way she sang it makes it sound so weird cuz it’s so obviously not the right genre to sing for her type of voice
i've said it before and i'll say it again, my favorite performances of her's were the ones where she had dial it back to harmonize with other singers. like, i feel pretty/unpretty is stunning, love song is great and charismatic, and even fly/i believe i can fly is amazing because she's not belting the song. she's fuckin ethereal in that song. her voice could go so well with so many of them but she just always had to be That Bitch
I COMPLETELY agree with the I Kissed A Girl one. It’s should’ve been a Santana solo, or at the very least a duet with Brittany. Idk why Rachel sang, it just filled me with such rage.
Honestly that entire episode was toxic and damaging. Finn outed her and she was demonized for (rightfully) being angry about it. He never apologized. He just said he didn't want her to commit suicide because she was in the closet. How fucking self righteous.
Another awful moment is after Finn outed Santana to the STATE OF OHIO, she slapped him, and she gets suspended. There have been other times when people fought, and nobody got in trouble. Plus, he outed her, which means anti-gay people might attack her or even murder her because of who she is. Where's his suspension?
actually finn told figgins santana didn’t actually slap him so she end up not getting suspended that was the one redeemable thing he did in the episode
And um- I think you took it too far, do you realize what this show is and your talking about someone murdering her for her sexuality. He didn't out her technically, they were talking and some bitch overheard everything and reported it to someone else, he didn't plan for it to happen not to mention he sang to her and was there for her. That song he sang wasn't offensive and this video all together got me pissed off because there wasn't a moment in time where Kurt couldn't have a crush on Finn without this girl bashing on the character for his actions and words, and then bashing on Rachel just because of how she is. Is she a control freak? Yes. But its how she is, and that doesn't mean she isnt a good singer and isn't talented, when they all sang I Kissed a Girl bro ITS A FUCKING SONG it doesn't mean they are all gay and everyone knew about Santana so it wasnt her coming out, it was the other girls helping her realize that it WAS and IS ok to be who you are and that's why they sang with her so she didn't feel alone through it. I hate when people hate on certain characters through the show it pisses me off. I know this show by heart, every song in every episode and I know every character and I am telling you there is a flaw in every single one of them but they are all still amazing no matter what.
@@jaylamiller8878 I kinda have to disagree with the Finn thing cause while I don’t think he meant to have any bad intentions he deadass just very loudly calls “why don’t you just acknowledge that you’re a lesbian?” In a crowded ass hallway 👁👁💧 and honestly I think he did it to hurt her in a way since he had finally gotten sick and tired of Santana’s constant abuse (which like I’m not excusing) ://///
@@rzawilski Exactly. Like _hello_ not everything should be made the hobbit show. I'd rather Santana sing with Quinn if they dont let her sing with Britt. Or just them all together (since 1. Quinn deserved more moments imo and 2. We deserved more unholy trinity moments). But back to the point; WHAT RIGHT!? What _RIGHT_ did Rachel Berry have to sing THAT SONG with Santana when Tana's gf is RIGHT THERE... like... tf
@@wendyrob71EXACTLY, the first time I watched the scene I literally turned the TV off because I couldn't believe they gave RACHEL BERRY a solo about KISSING A GIRL(something that she did not do) when the episode was about santana coming out and being proud of dating brittany. WHY ON EARTH SANTANA DIDNT SING WITH BRITTANY?
@@romeespartinez841 baby I'm gay and Kurt would definitely see these hands. What a weirdo. He's almost your step brother and you're still doing this? Gross.
Thank god he grew out of that, because if he’d stayed that way I would’ve bashed my head into a wall along time ago, thank god for character development.... Unlike some characters, who remain exactly the same no matter how much the audience screams at them to stop (cough RACHEL & SHUE cough cough
the feeling when you completely forgot about finn’s ballad of girls just wanna have fun *i know the song was not the best choice in that situation, but if santana accepted it, maybe we should too*
i think we can all agree that kurt is annoyingly creepy in season 1 so we uh... try to forget about that and also “i kissed a girl” is probably the most frustrating episode of the show.
The only good thing about that final New Directions line up was that Tina finally got to have even the tiniest moment and she fucking crushed it. Honestly she should have joined the Troubletones, 'Shake it out' was beautiful, Santana, Mercedes and Tina's voices go so well together they should have gotten more songs together
The only reason why New Directions won that competition against the Trouble Tones was because Quinn said "This is a Story about Control, MY Control." like thats the ONLY REASON. The Throuble Tones were absolutely ROBBED edit: okay you guys have kind if convinced me that the New Directions did kind of eat it up at the competition, but I still think the Trouble Tones were kinda done dirty
i dont think nd were as bad as the person who made this vid was tryna make it seem lmfao. they had some real talent and they had some really good performances in their medley. every time i watch that i think they're so equally matched but the trouble tones had a slight upper hand as far as variety and creativity. idk, just my two cents
tbh i love that Klaine duet and i think they were great. I actually think that the Santana coming out storyline would've been way better if instead of Finn outed her, Kurt and Blaine (and maybe Brittany), who already passed through it, just helped her on it somehow
@@lauramiranda4592 i always feel like if Glee really wanted to go down the route of being outed, they could've at least spread the storyline out more to really see how it was affecting Santana and have that creepy reporter guy out her or have Brit or Kurt do it by accident
THE WRITERS. is literally best and only explanation (I'm joking though, is very clearly that in the beginning of the week she was very pissed but as the week went on she got tired of being so defensive) but i still would make fun of him in her place for the song choice
@@oki_pogi9376 they put Santana, Mercedes, and Brittany in a team and made us believe ND could beat them. The Troubletones were probably too powerful they had no choice but to make it lose
I was so mad when new direction won over the trouble tones like they were overall better and new direction can’t sing so this is a real sensitive topic..😭😭
I got SO mad at Kurt when he was telling Blaine that bisexuality wasn’t real and when literally going after him attacking him even when Blaine was just so confused with himself and his feelings, I literally hated Kurt in that conversation, I cried in anger
Part of me can see what the producers were going for with Rachel singing I Kissed A Girl with Santana, showing further that all the girls are supportive of her and her coming out, but...Britney was right there. She and Santana would have been so good in that song. Even Quinn would make slightly more sense, being one of her own best friends who would make more sense if they truly wanted to show someone being supportive of Santana who was straight. Rachel and Santana were not friends at that time, so that logic just seems lacking. Also, everything was wonderful. It was so cringe, I had to skip forward a few times because epic cringe. Namely the Kurt trying to push Finn to be gay every ten seconds.
yeah, i’m so glad they completely abandoned Kurt’s creepy obsession with Finn in future seasons. Otherwise i don’t think i’d have loved Kurt as much as i do
if a man outed me in the middle of a hallway and then proceeded to sing an a capella version of girls just want to have fun in front of all my friends that would be my 13th reason
Lol I love Kurt but I hated how he got so mad at Tina for having a crush on Blaine and calling her a hag when he did litteraly the exact same creepy stuff to fin. I mean he calls her a creepy hag and to stop liking her when he allegedly watched Finn in th shower.
@@Hi-cz8rh and at that point kurt never even had a boyfriend. he was still in the closet and he's a teen boy. that combo makes you sexually frustrated.
Kurt coming onto Finn was extremely uncomfortable but it’s also incredibly realistic. When you are a gay man that attends a very conservative school you don’t meet many gay people especially gay adults. Kurt never had someone to teach what is and isn’t appropriate or show him what flirting/romantic interest looks like. He had a crush on Finn and took his kindness as interest. Did he take it too far? Yes. Is it okay that he did it? No. Is it understandable why a kid in his position would act that way? Yes.
She thinks she’s better then everyone else, like she has a good voice but it get on nerves every time she opens up her big mouth but like the others in glee club I could listen to all day and they deserve to have more solos then her “THEY ARE BETTER THEN U, GET OVER IT RACHEL BERRY” sorry I needed it lmao 😂
Watching Kurt flirt with Finn strikes me deep in my soul, because I have been Kurt, and I cannot apologise enough for how creepy & awkward I was in high school when I had a crush on a straight guy, most of them being my close friends. The shame is STRONG watching this.
Something that always bothered me was in season 4 when The Warblers got disqualified for using performance enhancing drugs. The second place team would get to go instead right? But the New Directions got disqualified so technically they didn’t even place (and even if they did they didn’t deserve second because Gangnam Style was awful) So how come they got to go? Because they’re the ones who cracked the case? That’s not how it works I think. The other high school who actually got second place would go.
The high-school who came second were actually terrible tho. I can't even explain how bad they were. But I agree, in real life they would've absolutely won if the warblers were disqualified
As a gay myself I agree, but I can only say on Finn's defense that Kurt was really pushing him to a corner, the moment Finn snaps is the moment Kurt tries to reduce even more of Finn's privacy in his own room. Finn was feeling really stalked and uncomfortable, in this specific case Finn was the victim of unwanted advances, and the show acknowledges this later on on season 2. In any case Finn made everything possible to relate to Kurt and defend him, as he sees how Kurt acts out of social pressures, discrimination and bullying. I think the point of this video is to show any problematic situation that wasn't acknowledged and/or solved in the actual story.
Exactly...they literally just hate on Kurt and dont care.. I literally love all LGBT representation in Glee but some Santana stans (i am one tho of course) annoy me sooo much when they clap when Santana is body shaming people etc and hate Kurt and Blaine because writers of the show decided that klaine and brittana are going to have a wedding together lmao i am bi myself and i can see a part of myself in every lgbt character of glee, i also had a crush on a girl who was nice to me when she found out i like girls too and it was exactly what Kurt had, crush on a boy that was nice to him and didnt judge him because of his looks and style etc and it sucks that this person didnt mention Finns homophobia but Kurt wanting to help Finn to take off the make up and it was *predatory" .... Lmao
nah, i stand by the abc performance (which i notice was left out). i enjoy the survivor/i will survive performance, it's obviously great, but i had actually forgotten about it. abc/control/man in the mirror showcased tina in a big way, mike, quinn, and all the guys who weren't finn, blaine, or kurt. finn and blaine obviously got a part for the last song but it was no longer than arties, sams, or pucks. actually, of the guys, artie sang the most. that was like, an actual glee club performance, where everyone had a significant role. i loved and still love listening to them actually fucking sound like a group and not just backup singers to 2-3 singers. amazing the unity that happens when rachel leaves
Yes! This is exactly how I feel! And while I love Troubletone's performance I hate when people diss the MJ medley to favor TT and then go the rest of the series saying that 👞 should let other people shine when the performance is. right. there
Sorry, but I love Kurt. The Whole Kurt crushing on Finn thing was a little uncomfortable for everyone, including Chris colfer who said so himself. Turns out, as mentioned in the glee-recap showmance podcast, Cory actually liked the story line and the attention, which I find halarious. I love that guy, miss him ❤️. However, I do belive this story line was an important learning point for kids to learn when no means no, and when to stop. I am glad how Kurt learned his lesson and moved on from that. I look back at it now and laugh at his crazy plan to put thier parents together so him and Finn could get closer XD.. Little did he know they would end up getting married.. hahaha 😝 I love this show. 😂 😆
i actually started crying when you pointed out how they all took over santana's coming out and then finn was singing her a RIDICULOUS, OFFENSIVE SONG AFTER HES THE ONE WHO OUTED HER TO THE ENTIRE SCHOOL. YOU DONT HAVE THE R I G H T FINN HUDSON, TO PULL ALL THAT SHIT AND THEN GO ON AND TRY TO ACT ALL EMOTIONAL AND- *UGHHHHHHHH*
the last one i agree and disagree with. the sectionals the new directions did is one of my favourite competitions they've ever done. control: bop, man in the mirror: bop, ABC: bop. tina finally got a solo, so did kurt. yes, troubletones were absolutely gorgeous and their singing was incredible, but they both deserved to win
Finn definitely had a right to freak out to Quinn and Kurt. I feel like people push his boundaries too much because normally he is a calm and good guy...
Lmao Finn was just being homophobic towards Kurt. He wouldn't have reacted so angrily if it was a girl he didn't like 🤷 Edit: rather than finn himself, i'd say the framing of the show. whenever straight guys/girls act creepy & make unwanted advances towards others, they're rewarded for it whereas kurt is made out to be a predator. I mean, puck literally got quinn drunk to sleep with her and lied about using protection (legally this is sexual assault/rape) and they're made out to be soulmates.
Finn didn't have a problem with Kurt being gay; he had a problem with Kurt not accepting 'no' means no. If Finn did what Kurt did to a girl he would have gotten a restraining order. Kurt literally brought their parents together to get with Finn. That is creepy.
it’s not homophobia. he was uncomfortable because he was straight and kurt was forcing himself on finn. if finn were a girl and kurt were straight, everyone would hate him. but since kurt was gay, he gets a pass to force himself like that?
i mean kurt definitly croseed some boundaries when he had a crush on finn, but it makes me so sngry that when finn calls him the f slur ,burt gets all mad at him(as he should),but when finn says that kurt has a crush on him,it´s suddenly ok apparently also finn was such an asshole to kurt and didn´t stand up for him for a long time ahhh
also, i think what angered me the most about season 3's sectionals is that? finn and blaine look SO confident that they'll win. i hate that we couldn't even get a shot of them looking nervous and panicked but also going, wow. oh SHIT. they're so good! and have them be amazed, because then we're reminded that above all else, they're still all friends and they're in awe of each other, but still have the main singers of ND realize yeah, we don't let them shine enough. such a small moment would've made such a bigger impact.
the troubletones not winning is a topic i bring to every conversation like that was the best goddamn competitive performance in the entire show and they lost to the worst competitive performance in the entire show?? make it make sense
I've been bed-bound for almost 2 years due to a spine and shoulder injury and I'm wicked depressed and in a lot of pain so I decided to re-re-re-rewatch glee. Thank you for these videos. They make me smile, for the first time in a long time. Now I just have gotta make sure I don't get evicted... fingers crossed! thank you! Love ya!
Despite the cringe, I actually liked Kurt's story-line with Finn because it grew into something beautiful that helped develop both characters into better people, and it was better than later seasons when Kurt was basically the perfect GBF most of the time. I'm more mad that they missed an opportunity to give us a Tina/Santana duet and friendship moment, seeing as how Tina auditioned for Glee with I Kissed A Girl. No scene ever cemented the notion more for me that Tina should've been the protagonist of the show. That and the fact that, despite being bullied probably the most out of the Glee club members, including physical abuse, she never got to go to a private all-girls school or have a separate story-line outside of Glee club; far from it, the writers trashed her character when Jenna spoke up about it.
I do agree with almost all of these, but not gonna lie, on the last one: For me I genuinely enjoyed that ND set quite a bit more than the Troubletones one, sorry! Of course Mercedes and Santana were always going to sound incredible because they always did, but I much preferred the Jackson medley from a song choice perspective, and I felt like the Troubletones' choreography was kind of awkward whereas the ND was overall quite good. Plus *finally* Tina got some spotlight, and Jenna rocked ABC! And Blaine and Artie for Control was fantastic too. All around, that was one of my favorite ND sets, so it's always been my unpopular opinion that I prefer it to the Troubletones and felt they fully deserved the win :)
a moment that really makes me want to scream is when santana and brittany are talking about their first times and brittany literally said some guy went into her tent and literally assaulted and remarked “alien invasion” like it’s one of those brush off try hard “edgy” jokes that glee always does but it’s making a joke out of child grooming and rape like bruh it really shows why brittany maybe the way she is like her childlike innocence which may be the aftermath of trauma she endured and when principal figgins says he would prefer to see santana and brittany to kiss more than finchel just makes me want to🤮🤮 THERE ARE SO MANY MOMENTS LIKE AAAAAH the writers gave us so little but also the most chaotic fully packed thing ever LIKE FINN’S AND RACHEL’S WHOLE HERO COMPLEX WITH SANTANA’S COMING OUT LIKE CAN SHE EVER HAVE THE SPOTLIGHT WITHOUT THE STRAIGHTS TAKING IT FROM HER DAMN
Thank you for mentioning Finn and Blaine during the Trebletones Sectionals performance. The Troubletones were cheering, clapping and encouraging their friends when the ND performed, but the ND didn't do the same. Hated that moment.
Also, I just want to talk about the fact that Rachel sent a girl to a CRACK HOUSE because of her own selfish jealousy, and there were no consequences. But Marley, who was struggling with an eating disorder at the time, was not comfortable with exposing her body and wore something a less revealing than a shell bra, but performed amazingly, but was suspended for a week "for putting her own personal agenda before the team's" I was literally fuming.
Okay great video! BUT.... I’ve seen the understudy-slap-scene with new perspective... like I agree that Rachel is awful most of the time, like most people think... but I understand her feeling too. Imagine always being bullied and feeling alone, and having to push yourself to the top and overcome all that bullying by always trying to be the best. Singing, performing and playing Fanny was HER thing, that thing that she could always hold onto and be proud of, the her own thing that she was probably very protective of, because her talent and passion protected HER. All that can’t be easy... and then, the very same former bully comes and does the exact same thing as you with less practice and preparation, that thing that you felt was your protector and your thing to shine through... and she just comes along like it’s nothing... and yeah like Kurt said, she doesn’t own the song/part, it’s not literally hers, but in a way it has been her own special thing throughout her life when she had nothing else... So I kinda get her too...
That survivor mashup was literally one of the best mashups in the entire glee library and the fact they LOST with that will never sit right with me. The new directions were straight up BORING and not even on the same level. Thinking about this gets my blood boiling all over again
