I like Glen a lot because he is very original and does things on his own, fans and other people just shit all over him, but he doesn't care and the fact that he doesn't care makes him original and it's awesome.

Im with Glen, i dont listen to any new metal bands. I either dont like it or i feel its already been done. There are no iconic front men anymore. I hated hard rock as a kid but now i prefer 70s rock, eg. Scorpions, Budgie, Lucifers Friend, The Stooges etc. To any new metal
He's written about God for decades but keeps saying here that religion and God etc is horseshit. Pick one: you believe in God and hate him, or you don't believe in God and therefor cannot write about him as you cannot write about something you don't think exists while making any sense.
Nonsense. Of course you can write about a god without believing in one - you are basically writing about your frustrations with what other people believe. He’s basically singing about how he hates the idea of a religious god. That doesn’t mean you still have to believe in one.
@stevepwn yea so I remember a while back mu friend went to see them and Glenn talked on stage about being sober from alcohol and weed this was after 2010. BUT just recently I heard an interview where he says he still smokes so maybe took a break for a bit. Also on behind the scars DVD he mentions he got his voice that way by smoking weed and drinking alcohol
@stevepwn you know what, thinking about it more, I think it was during The Stench Of Redemption where my friend saw him say that about being sober. My mistake, I remember thinking no wonder his vocals sound different in this album. But yeah he must have gotten healthy enough to continue to smoke and drink cuz his voice sounds a lot deeper and guttural now. I saw him 2 years ago and he sounded absolutely crushing

So Google is so confusing. I am A born again Christian, used to love deicide back in the day.. I read Glenn gown to a specific Baptist church in Louasiana, and converted to Christianity in 2009.. seems like a heavy metal channels April fools joke. I hope it isn't. Glenn is an amazing vocalist. I refused to listen to deicide around 2008, because it felt wrong long before Jesus saved my behind despite feeling unworthy of him in every way... anyways praying for Glenn. Hope it's an act at the very least. I know I sound like an old man.. Jesus is the way the truth and the life.. he don't care if you listen to metal and watch horror movies.. he wants you for sure to nit commit sins, and he forgives us when we do, if we put the work in in our part.. eternal happiness after death or eternal burning and emotional torture. Or rotting in the ground? How is that even a choice? Ask Christ into your heart. Beg forgiveness, be better today than you were yesterday. How could anyone argue with that unless you are a communist
