My favourite song of bruce springsteen. i remember me, standing for my school mates, because we have to share our music and books, and nobody understand the feeling, which i felt. So nothing changed, i was the clown and my school mates are forgotten. but glen hansard gives me the feeling of forgotten times, because he performes it like i felt in former times. i like this version.
just sitting here again and listen to his version. thank you for your responds. i am from cologne , germany and lost, but this is not the meanpoint, it is this unbelievbable version of my favourite song and just, because i am in the mood, raise to me party-glass and joy will be with you@@Anita8891
This guy.. this guy...you know he is the best of us.... please if you listen to this, go and check out his band The Frames, they're awesome... I promise : )
That song... right now, this very moment... it felt as thou it helped to heal my broken soul. I didn't find this song today by "accident." This I know.... Feeling very blessed, gracious & humbled. Thank you for this.
5:30 Wow, just wow! Oh man the way Glen delivers it just goes right through my chest, I want to say that to my wife and assure her that she has and will always "got my love"
When I went to see Bruce, Clarence was still with the band. The original E Street Band - SO good! They rocked a three-hour show! Hansard would have been great!
This is actually me and my wife's wedding dance song. The Bruce Springsteens version from Goteborg, to be exact. For a long time I liked the Springsteen's one much more than the Glen's, because it is just phenomenal. However, I am becoming to like Hansard's interpretation more and more. The different accents and shades are getting under my skin. I'm listening to different performances of this song almost every day now, as me and my girl are having some serious problems in the relationship after 9 years together. It reminds me of the roots and what she means to me. I wish we'll stay together
I love this man. His music. His soul~ and this is one of my favorite versions, of this, one of my favorite songs he has recorded or performed. And I don’t usually prefer covers~ but he made it his own, as he does everything in his musical creating. Just, pure Suchness~ He and his music...💚❤️🙏🏽
Bravo to David Letterman for giving Glen and the band 1/3 of the show for this gem!! Does anybody know if he was talking about Clarence Clemons when he said this part was for Clarence? I mean, I know it's a Springsteen song and Glen even played it live with Bruce. Anyway, I found Glen through the movie "Once" and I've been a fan every since. Glad to know he's doing so well.
This wasn't on Letterman's broadcast, they gave them the theater to do a full show. It was on RU-vid. If it still is do yourself a favor and look it up?
Great Springsteen song from the River album - I recorded a home version of this song (piano & vocals) - please click below to listen... Drive All Night - Springsteen cover - Todd Speer piano & vocals
