The Swell Season at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California on Friday, 20 November 2009 Glen performs this during his solo portion of the Swell Season show, leading in with the story of a woman and a coat. Unplugged!
No gimmicks, no fucking autotune, no editing, just pure sheer talent and unbelievable emotion, so inspirational! Noone understands how much I respect and love this man! Thankyou!
When I haven't listened to this for a while, and I first come back and listen, I cry every damn. And this music is so powerful, I'm not even ashamed to admit it. "The journey between your mind and your tongue can be so short, and yet it's such a long distance when it comes to actually saying something we're afraid to say."
Only would a true artist unplug his guitar and move away from the microphone and belt out the true meaning to this song: Say It To Me Now Thank you Glen, for making true music like this i got goosebumps from the beginning to the very end Amazing
This represents everything that is beautiful about music. Glen's heartfelt stories are only shadowed by his heartfelt performances. You know that he does this solely because he loves it, and I appreciate him so much more for that.
My wife and I caught Mr Hansard in a little theater this past year. Of course he sang that song. Talk about goose bumps .... It was electric in there. Go see him if ya can.
I'm seeing him in September for the first time after being a fan since I was 16. Oh my god. I can only imagine what it's going to feel like if this video makes me tear up.
Damn.. Never fails! He gets me at the beginning of the song, keeps me by the middle.. And tears, always tears by the end!! Beautiful song, sung by a beautiful soul! Thank you to ever recorded & posted this❤
Incredible. I've listened to a few covers of this song and none do it better or even close to how Glen does it, not even close. What a great tune and performer
Fuck ephemerality! Thank you so much for whoever recorded this and put this up, you have added something to the world. And as always, thank you Glen for giving us this in the first place. You are indescribable live!
