Personally, I don't think that is exactly true. Damien seemingly forged a life for himself where he is purposely not in the limelight and not in the general public that often. That seems to be exactly where he wants to be. Anytime he plays Ireland, he sells out. He just chooses to play seldom.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
Damien is beyond raw talent, it's almost organic, genuine and pure. I like the fact he isn't recognized the way he should be by many more ppl, it keeps him away from the fame and the spotlight that often can distort the perception of a true artist as he is.
I traveled to another country to see Hansard. Worth every moment. 150 minutes of passionate performance. Not only from Glen, the whole band was putting their souls into every song. They even played 2 songs completely unplugged. Amazing feeling. And we even got to meet him and the band after the gig and hang out for a couple of hours! I'm can't wait for corona to end and be able to travel again!
@@1994savvas wow, that’s amazing! What a great experience ❤️🙌🏼 the band usually is with some of the guys from The frames so their chemistry on stage is unbelievable. Let’s hope soon we can be travelling to concerts again 🙏🏼
Glen I spoke to you a long time ago I hope your mum is well,I love your honesty it's refreshing as is your music as you are one of my greatest influences that made me write songs from when I was 50 yourself Damien Rice and Martyn Joseph are my 3 most amazing songwriter story tellers in my mind and of course the boss .I wish you and your family love and happiness on you wonderful journey ,simply thankyou for being a part of my life x
@@lousc2141 Definitely! He's a great and honest man and an even greatest artist! Been to every concert he did round here. Such energy! I could hear him talking for hours.. Fantastic human being. I would definitely hang out with him in Ireland :D
You are so correct and it applies to much more than showing someone else your art. Those who are honest and gentle, but straightforward are the most wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Love them both also, proud to have stood in front of these great men in their early careers in small intimate gigs. ! Glen told my boyfriend at the time, ‘don’t sell your guitar man, sell your girlfriend’ hah, good craic Glen, love you 💚 Sending love to home.
I love him 🎶 seen him in Liverpool many years ago at a big venue , (think it was the echo arena Liverpool ) it was huge. He was on his own & not with Lisa Hannigan. To be fair I did miss hannigan’s vocals. But over all I loved it & after lockdown I really hope he tours again. I would like to see him at a smaller venue thou. Peace ✌🏾
Thx for sharing. If you have a second come watch my cover of The Lumineers - I'm a singer/songwriter and think you may dig my sound. Really appreciate it!
