Glen getting the boot for not being cool enough is a joke considering in the Anarchy In The UK video he's looking very new wave, a fashion not even considered for another five years lol ahead of the curve much? Malcolm got rid of Glen because he was threatened by anyone he couldn't manipulate or who could outthink him. Glen was the first to ask 'where's the money'? It's all very clear.

OK, thank you for having him on.. everybody has different stories on why things happened or how things happened and things are so fictionalized. But I have to say that I really enjoyed Glen’s faces and answers on the Bill Grundy show.. it’s epic! Here’s The link if no one seen it before, and also someone actually made a short film I’d say maybe 24 minutes with different actors, that basically took everything word by word from the transcripts of the most shocking moment in history of British TV! Also, I have to say out of all the 4 original members, Glen is the most handsome! Nope. Glen and Malcolm had a sitdown and Glen said he'd had enough, particularly with John, and that he wanted to leave. McLaren tried to convince him to stay but Glen said he didn't want it anymore and was getting his own thing together. They parted ways amicably. Then the following day Malcolm spun it to the press as "sacked for liking the Beatles" and got some mileage out of it.

I like Glen he's stood the test of time, throwing him in the melting pot with the other personalities wasn't going to work, even if he could play the bass. Cookie and Jonesy were big mates anyway, Lydon was hired purely to sing and image, along came Lydon's mate Sid purely as image potential and clothes horse along with Johnny. Let's not forget there was a huge element of manufacture with the Pistols, great music though. I'm glad Glen stayed out of it , probably did him a big favour, after seeing the Pistols on both of the reunion tours which I enjoyed emensely, its no surprise today they have ended up again in the same old place bitching about each other!

If you listen to Jonesy’s Jukebox latest podcast, Glen and Steve talk about what happened. John and Glen had a falling out, Paul asked Glen to “pretend” to like John, Glen didn’t want to and left. Mean while John had been plotting to convince Sid that he should be the bass player, even though he couldn’t play. And it is true that Glen was the main riff and melody writer, to which Steve didn’t disagree.
