With his charisma and looks, he could be the next Matthew McConaughey. Happy for him to get this opportunity after seeing him in smaller films for a few years (Not that there's anything wrong with smaller films, it's just being in a film like this will get him noticed even more and lead to more opportunities)
First saw him in _Scream Queens._ His career after that was slow but glad he finally got a role that can't be overlooked. I wanna see him keep doing more horror, romcom and action films.
The comparison sort of makes senss, McConaughey's first role where he actually shined was Linklater's Dazed and Confused, while Glen Powell got his first shine on Dazed's spitiritual sequel "Everybody Wants Some". Linklater creating stars out there
Charismatic is definitely the best word to describe him. First I saw him was in Hidden Figures and despite the short role, he really made his presence felt.
Anyone that manages to survive a Tom Cruise production reached a new level of toughness and cool. Doing your own stunts and the demands placed on you is unbelievable. Well done to all the actors, movie is awesome.
What’s amazing is how top gun seems to have become this thing that has become passed down from father to child. My dad introduced me to top gun when I was a kid and I took my daughter to see it last weekend and she loved it.
Or mother to daughter in or case. The first one came out when I was in middle school, this one is coming out when my kid is in high school. Too bad Cruise is 60. He could possibly make one at 80.
@@Hello-Stoiko I totally agree with you. I was 2 when the original came out and I hope my daughter shows it to grandkids or I’ll do it myself. I would love to see a 3rd one.
Both of my parents watched it many times over the years basically since it’s come out, (other than my dad, he watched it 5-6 years after, he’s not big in watching movies until the rave dies down for some reason) and then I watched it for the first time the night before I seen the second one, and I wasn’t expecting it to be as amazing as it was. I have an addiction to it now, and probably will watch it at least once a week when I get it on DVD, which I pre-ordered 2 different ones already. The original and the second one will for sure be shown to my kids. I will teach them while they’re young
He was coy with his answer but I'm so glad Kimmel asked because I've always wanted to know: who DOES cleanup the planes after a guest pukes all over the place?
oh my word i love this boy lol - everyone's like "omg it's embarrassing i threw up" then Glen's just over here like "dude i threw up in my own face lol"
4:41 FYI for some people, "video village" is the monitor area where each monitor shows what the cameras are showing. Most (not all) directors hunker back behind these monitors so they know what the shots will look like at all times and during the takes. Sometimes the video village is in the next room, sometimes it's really far away depending on the shot or the noise expectations.
Wow! I just watched the movie here in New Zealand I've never watched anything like it with such realism. A good story, which holds us from beginning to end, a lot of adrenaline, and emotion too. A movie that deserves all respect and worthy of awards. Tom Cruise again rocked it, and his performance was excellent. Congrats😎👊👏🏆🇧🇷🇳🇿
Now the whole world knows the backstory about Noose……officially becomes the most famous navy pilot this year. This guy deserves his own Wikipedia page🤣🤣🤣
I've loved watching Glenn and various movies around com and others for years. He's not a character actor but he's not you know the a-list yet but I always thought he was an amazingly good looking guy always was a very good actor and whatever he did so hopefully this will boost his career even more and get him up until the stratosphere
He had a small role in "Hidden Figures" about the black women that worked at NASA doing the 60's helping get the U.S. to the Moon with their engineering and mathematical skills.
I waited decades for this sequel, and boy or it was worth the wait…Tom hand picked this cast and they were all fantastic annoying funny and brilliant 👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️ love the movie saw it twice 🍷
The moment I saw him in the movie...I was thinking I must have seen him somewhere before. It turn out that he is the trader in the dark knight rises who gets beaten by Bane! That scene is short but he did a great job there.
Great movie! Go see it! I have a family member that flies F18’s and doesn’t talk much about the job so it was great to see the flight sequences in the movie!
Not only is Glen a talented actor and an absolute babe, but he's so darn charming and funny. I'm very excited to have gotten to see him in this movie and I look forward to a bunch of his other works. TG Maverick is the main reason I have a Texas-sized crush on the guy, his personality, and his talents.
I heard about a Naval Aviator who's call sign was Boom Boom. He got that because in Carrier Training, he rode the brakes on his Cat Shot and blew both his main mount tires.......BOOM...BOOM. And that's how he got it.
I really wish Hangman had more development in the movie. I know the movie is all about Maverick but I want to see the progression of all the main characters.
No spoiler BUT fans will see how Glens role is nicely entwined into the new movie youll know his role when you see him from the first expression).....plays Hangman so well. Almost shed a tear at the end when he returns........
Miles could have landed that 'Rooster' role but Glen easily stole the limelight from his. Glen slayed and was soo good as Hangman. Tom Cruise is right for getting the services of Glen to the point of re-writing the script of Hangman❤
just turned 4 when the first one came out now i just turned 40 waiting for this one to come out even tho i already know what happens i can't freakin wait to see it for myself
J'adore clen ses l'un de mes préférés acteurs et l'un des des plus beaux homme de cette planète il est tellement gentille incroyable je lui s'ouet une bonne carrière d'acteur
You know, I can remember TC telling the same puke story…except his pilot was called Bozo. I think it was on the Graham Norton show? If anyone can remember the interview let me know. It just sounds like the Navy folks like doing that to anyone who pukes in their planes 🤣🤣🤣 The actors did an amazing job. The movie surprised me-it is a pretty entertaining movie. Thanks all involved in making it 👍👏
