My Father's ashes were scattered, half on the Bealach Ratagan, the rest on the beach near the Inn, back in 2007. Glenelg was his favourite place and he spent many great times there. Took my kids over from NZ in 2015 on a pilgrimage. I even have a bracelet with Glenelg's geographical coordinates. This film is wonderful.
Will need to visit. Hillwalked many times north and south of Glen Elg and sailed (motored) through the narrows a few times in my youth. Last year I discovered my Great Great Grandfather Donald McIntyre was born in Glen Elg. I will try and bring my grandchildren. See you after this Covid thing is over. Keep safe. Best Wishes McIntyre
This is a beautifully filmed and edited piece from Nice Tree, well done Clare Holt! Subtle, but the quality shines through. We are planning on staying in the Green House in May and this only adds to the sense of excitement and anticipation. Thank you.
Having stayed at the Glenelg Inn several times when it was run superbly by Chris Main, we have visited most of the areas around. If you are able to spend some time there it's easy to appreciate the location and the atmosphere and, if you are lucky to enjoy good weather, it just doesn't get much better anywhere. Thanks for the film which reminds me why we loved to go there. It's a shame we live 600 miles away!
