Nice friend indeed! Let us know your thoughts after you open and share the bottle...we still stand by the review and that it is a lovely dram. Cheers (and Happy Birthday)!
This was a fun one and it really shows our format...unscripted, unplanned, and unexpected. If the number comes up, the bottle gets opened. Cheers mate!
It’s my best friend birthday in a week and I have all of our friend chipipng in to buy him a once in a life time bottle of scotch. I found one at the SAQ ( Quebec society of alcool) for 600$ canadian dollars and I’m definitely buying one for him. If I had any doubt you guys sold me to it. Liked the video; hitted the subscribe button. Keep up the good work 🤘
Great video. I am glad for you that it was not a let down on this bottle. It would be a bummer for you if it was. I know that is one reason why I would be concerned about buying an expensive bottle is that it would not be much better than a $50 bottle and that would be disappointing. Glad you 2 enjoyed it. Cheers!!
Right! there is risk in most things, fortunately...this one resulted in a reward. sometimes it's hard to pull the $ trigger, but....try before we die! Cheers mate!
My wife demanded to buy this for Christmas 2022. I was terrified that it was just going to be a gimmick bottling. I was so wrong. This is a brilliant bottle!
@@TBWD thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision but your video shows it was a good one 👊 and will do! I'm gonna try get him to crack it open LOL
Such a great bottle, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did....as to when; yes to both? when it arrives and then for a special occasion? Cheers and let us know what you think when you pop the cork.
I find those longer aged bottles are so smooth that they don't really have the "taste" or texture or bite or something of the lower aged single malts. The GlenLivet 21 I've had is so smooth and delicate that it is almost (almost I say!) less of a taste than some of the younger bottles.
some of the flavors in some whiskys don't maintain their "robustness' against the passage of time, while other absolutely do or even become more enhanced...like woody or nutty. Whereas it is common for the smoke flavors to really relax over time. Cheers!
I'll agree with you on the idea that it lacked many traditional SMSW profiles/complexities...but it did definitely take on the cuvee notes, imo. Cheers!
