Glenforsa Fly In! 

This is our adventure up to the Isle of Mull, Scotland for the annual Glenforsa Fly In! We took our Van's RV-7 from Cranwell up to Glenforsa on Friday 31 May 24 for 2 nights, stopping for fuel at Carlisle in each direction.
The RV-7 could make it there and back without a fuel stop but there is no fuel at Glenforsa and we wanted to do some sightseeing on the Saturday so we wanted to arrive with as much fuel as possible - fuel in Oban is really expensive! The Saturday (1 Jun 24) was simply stunning, beautiful weather. We flew to Plockton for lunch before returning to Glenforsa for a second night. We left on the Sunday (3 Jun 24) and battled the weather, using every bit of experience I had to fly home whilst remaining VFR. To avoid distraction, I didn't turn the cameras on for the first leg home although Sophie did turn on the cockpit cameras at some point so I do have some limited footage of that leg but no audio.
Carlisle, Glenforsa and Plockton were all fantastic airfields to visit and I highly recommend them all.
This is the RV-7 tailwheel aircraft that I built in my garage over 5 years. Its first flight was in July 2023 and we now fly it everywhere we can visiting people and places and documenting our epic flight adventures and aviation highlights along the way for friends and family. I flew fighter jets for 20 years and now just enjoy flying around the country with my wife who is also a professional pilot although she lets me do most of the flying!
