My husband of 30 years passed away in FL the day our electricity came back on after hurricane Ian. He was the love of my life & my soulmate. This is the song I'm going to play at his memorial when we do the balloon release in the end. Thank you Glen Frey for all the great music you put out over the years, but this is by far the only song i could find to do justice to our love story. 💔 My heart is broken, but I know I'll never walk alone. Please pray for me as I put him to rest & try to continue without him. And pray God holds him tight since I can't anymore. 🙏
I first heard this song when I discovered I was pregnant with my son 32 years ago. I was unmarried and was very scared about what my future held. This song immediately brought me comfort because I realized that from “this day forward I would never walk alone.” My child would be with me. This is the song that reminds me of my dear departed cat Shadow. I always think of him and the nearly 20 years we had together. He was precious and priceless to me, and this song will always remind me of him and the joy and meaning he brought with him when I found him as a stray kitten in my backyard and how he became part of my life. I truly think he was sent to befriend me and now he is somewhere else in the world helping someone else.

Glen Frey pulled off what most cannot……huge success being a founder/member of maybe the best band ever…..The Eagles…….but also had a great solo career. What a treasure and a talent.
I'm watching "Thelma & Louise" and I hear this voice. Oh My God!! This voice touches me like no other. Glen has a voice that brings me home, and every time I hear him it brings me home, to my my heart. Even if I've never heard the song before.... I know it. It's home with my husband ❤️🏡❤️🏡

I was also a big fan of the Eagles and of this wonderful love song. It's so sad that Glen Frey had to pass away so suddenly and young too. Many of my friends and half of my lovely fam. did too in these passed years.😢❤

A man I'll never stop loving dedicated this song to he and I. Every word/phrase fits our relationship to a t. We were on our way to San Francisco riding in his new red convertible Mercedes from Las Vegas the first time I heard this song. We played it over and over. I just watched Thelma and Louise (after having watched it numerous times years ago). I LOVE this song in the soundtrack. It perfectly depicts what the 2 characters in the film feel for themselves and each other. Beautiful song. RIP Glenn Frey.

Of all the movie songs that came out in 1991, this was by far, the very best, blowing away all the competition; and if I'm not mistaken, it didn't even get nominated for the academy award for best movie song.
Agree with you. It was an excellent peace of work from Glenn. It's a shame it didn't get the recognition it deserved. He was So Brilliant! Not to mention drop dead handsome.

I don't remember what that movie was. Anyway he was in just one scene in the whole movie, the whole movie. He spoke just one line. The whole scene lasted just thirty seconds, and...and...he was nominated for an academy award as best supporting actor for that one little scene. He didn't win, though. But that's the craziness of Hollywood, or as Charlie Daniels calls it, "Hollywonk".

I just pulled out my early 2000s CD Walkman so I could play the last mixCD my bestie made for me before she moved out of state in 2005. This was song number 8, and I found myself weeping while loudly belting out the lyrics. I hope Glenn understood how meaningful this song has been for so many of his fans. Nearly 20 years has passed since she left me this audio version of her undying love for me as her closest friend, and it’s been almost a decade since the last time we got to see each other in person, yet listening to this song I can feel her love wrapping around me as if she’s right here next to me. 💗

I've been in love with this song for months I actually drive my boyfriend crazy by playing it so much . He asked why I loved the song and I said I honestly don't know, but then he knew and I didn't sounds odd , but he called it . My mom was diagnosed with leukima last spring and I am terrified of losing her . She 81 and I'm 51 . But I can't imagine life without her . Knock on wood she's good for now .
