In recent months, Comey had come under widespread criticism from many Democrats for notifying lawmakers just before the election that the FBI was once again investigating whether Clinton had sent classified information from her private email server while she was secretary of state. Just last week, Clinton said Comey’s actions factored into her loss. Still, on Tuesday, dozens of Democrats spoke out against Comey’s firing, saying they didn’t believe it was over his handling of the investigation into Clinton’s emails. For more, we speak with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, co-founder of The Intercept.

Robert Democrats haven't decided anything. They just want a thorough, independent investigation. Session has recused himself from that investigation, and has lied, so how can he make an appointment. Comey was in the process of proving that he can be trusted when he was terminated and though some his comments have been questionable, nothing he said or did called for that termination.

Andrew Ou i had just made the same case, if more diplomatically... I happily cut this format some slack for production mishaps or budget related matters, but using a cough drop could go a long way assuming she's nursing the same cold i am right now. To your point: I got a lot of information and new perspectives from this interview that were not well enough communicated in mainstream media outlets, so i took a lot more from it than expected. the fact she had to surpress the flem in every second sentence though, empathically forces me to take notice i'm listening to someone under performance anxiety. thats why its annoying.

Please tell the hosts to liven up, glenn greenwald is no fountain of Emotion and he's incompareable to Amy's monotone delivery, not even to mention her overly sincere co-anchor. i chose to endure this delivery for the quality content but for the last two weeks now Amy hasn't finished two sentences without flem. that kinda killed it for me, so please change that to have me and others like me so used to more polished deliveries remaining at your channel.

Can't say this often but Greenwald is wrong. Sessions didn't just recuse himself from all Russia matters, he recused himself from "any matter relating in any way to the campaigns for president of the United States". That includes the Clinton campaign.

Also have to disagree with the idea that Trump wouldn't fire him if there was evidence. That remains to be seen. If he's that smart then he'd also know that without proof of intent, Comey would let Trump and his people off the same way he let Clinton and hers off.

Amy Goodman is a funny person. She is rather hard to read; but I think she is not at all against lying and pretending. I think she has strong desires for the world to be the way she imagines it to be and not the way it is with the result that she cheer leads for things that are improbable. In short she is rather unbalanced in her commentary which causes me to be wary of what she says. I rarely listen to her but am interested to see how Greenwald responds. Unfortunately Greenwald has come to resemble a cartoon character. Since Rosenstein is the man who would be over the FBI director he has no doubt given the situation a good look over. After all Comey has been a rather eccentric director and not really all that good. He is better suited to Hollywood. And Comey seems also to have problems with the truth slipping away . . ."no reasonable prosecutor . . ." Even his friend Andrew McCarthy seriously faulted his July 5th performance! The above presentation is valuable not for the revelations it presents but for showing how wacky the discourse about Washington can become.

I have seen him represent peoples views dishonestly or out right lie about the views of public foes. Mainly Sam Harris, who I know is divisive to some, but I have listen to statements by Sam That were completely and purposely misrepresented by Glenn. He is not an honest broker and is willing lie-ish to stand on what he sees as a moral high ground. I am mostly on the same political side as Glenn but can not trust him. If not for Snowden knocking on his door (not the other way around)..... we'd barely know him.

Why did Snowden knock on his door? Because Greenwald is one of the best U.S. journalists, and he was impressed by his work. Under the surface of a "liberal", Sam Harris is an anti-Muslim, reactionary charlatan. Greenwald and Chomsky have debunked him.
