I’ll never get how Reichwingers think saying “you shouldn’t bomb Palestinian civilians” equals to “you should kidnap Israeli civilians” That type of thinking is lazier than Yogi Bear.
@@jefflayton153they legit fail to see the lies in front of them. They're constantly lied to all the time. I would not be surprised to find out they cannot tell the difference between someone clearly lying and someone telling the truth. Like the daily wire, Ben Shapiro, is paid for by the Israeli government and the British government to push out propoganda. The daily wire is legit paid for by israeli billionaire Teddy Sagi.
@@joeyboikly that's reality and it's being used against the people by All the mainstream media and government agencies and Online especially. So much for free speech and democracy.
The WHO says it has has lost communication with its contacts inside Al-Shifa, the largest hospital in Gaza. Israeli tanks have surrounded Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital and the hospital’s director, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, said any person moving within the hospital compound is being attacked by Israeli snipers. Inside Al-Shifa Hospital, electricity has run out, with at least two premature babies having died and 37 at severe risk.
We are all late. Collectively, our humanity failed again. And some US and their alliance political partners (including my country Croatia) are behaving as if everything is completely alright. I watch all this and think: Are you all out of your minds?? And the "common people" hardly react at all, they do whatever they are doing while these horrifying crimes are going on and nobody is there to help those helpless people. I feel terrible, but what to do... what to do... it is shameful to be human being these days, it is devastating... I admit, I knew that things were going on in Gaza, that there are "problems" for "ages" but I didn't know that the Palestinians were living in such conditions, in the concentration camp for all these years and decades. It is beyond normal. And Israel is accepted without any observation about it in all world organizations, they are treated as democratic society... complete hypocrisy and madness.
Glenn is advocating on behalf of Palestinians. He has been speaking on social issues within a civil liberties framework for his whole career so I don’t see why it should be shocking or even wrong of him to cover any issue from an angle that he has been taking for decades. Sure he has said stupid things over the years… but what unique angle or contribution has Sam brought to any discussion other than smugness?
@@GoWithHim1 I didn't know anything about him until 2017 when I started following politics on the internet. And after listening to a couple of friendly, very deferential interviews by Seder and Uygur, I concluded that he was full of crap. He never had any credibility with me but when I did a little background I found that he was highly regarded. I'm still not sure what he did to earn that other than answering the phone when it rang one time. The video clips I've seen over the last couple of years slamming Greenwald only confirmed my original opinion. They had nothing to do with shaping my opinion. Your attempt to shame me won't work because the opinions I share with people at majority report and The Young Turks were formed when they were still in diapers.
@@charlesandrews2360 And you still haven't told me with he has no credibility - only that you listen to hit pieces to validate your own ignorance. And when you don't seem to know much about Greenwald other than parroting assholes at TYT, then you don't need me to shame you. You've done a fine job of that yourself.
nah - I saw Greenwald go on the Piers Morgan show and argue really well for the Palestinians...not sure why you're attacking him when he is spot on regarding this issue.
Greenwald was just on with zac and Gavin of The Vanguard and he was calling out Rubin, Barry Weiss etc. praised the bravery of Talib and Omar amongst a host of other things. Really good conversation
Glenn’s Israel Palestine work was the reason I began to follow him almost a decade ago. Has become just a total crank since then, obviously. I’m Honestly pretty surprised to see that his position on this has not become crankified, but a welcome surprise nonetheless.
@@shadebleu lol greenwald is a Chris rufo esque homeschool champion culture warrior. Censorship because of Palestinian advocacy is not Roseanne Barr being mad that she can’t say the n word on live tv. Specifically, as he has moved away from Chelsea manning, he has began to align himself with and associate with far right transphobic idiots.
@@AM2K2 I agree. I wrote that he has always been good on Palestine and that he has developed a lot of crazy opinions since 2015 ish, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that he had not changed his position on Palestine.
@@Babytip97 You say you've been "following" Greenwald for almost a decade. Good on you, and I as well have been consistently looking to him for coverage on news/issues/events for even a bit longer that you. And yeah, his position on Palestine seems to not have changed. Seems you believe he's "changed his opinions" a lot recently (the last few years...), or that he's come to hold a lot of "crazy opinions" nowadays. Could you give me/us some examples of positions he's changed on or some crazy opinions you feel he holds?
@@erdood3235 Basically that they still hate Glenn and he's bad, essentially MAGA in their view, even though they fundamentally agree with him on this issue. Just another day of MR be annoying alienating people who may be open to listening otherwise.
@@jasourwnjlWhat? When did anyone say that Glenn is Maga? The issue is that he can’t come out in support of Palestinians openly because he’ll be cancelled by the audience he’s cultivated, which is overwhelming right wing. He has to twist it to make it about being anti-wokeness in order to avoid a backlash from his audience
When you try to censor people through other means because they cant be traditionally censored under the 1st amd. It is very likely they will feel justified in supporting similar action taken against you. If people forget its a RIGHT to advocate for anything, then how can people do any advocating in the first place? Thats the whole point is consistency of principles. If its protected under the 1st amendment then its protected full stop.
I felt more alienated by Jamie Raskin putting the immorality of stifling free speech over the immorality of killing Palestinian civilians than I did by what Greenwald said. Greenwald actually conceded that Israel was committing war crimes. So unlike Raskin, his take on Piers Morgan's show was correct on both counts. And I say that as someone who hasn't trusted Greenwald ever since he made an argument where he mocked AOC for the fear she felt during the Jan. 6th insurrection and bizarrely criticized her for not regarding Ted Cruz of all people as a good faith actor (and of course much his behavior since then has just been "why I left the left" type of right wing culture war sympathizing).
Glen still stick to his principles about cancel culture and censorship while advocating Palestinian rights, and most anti-woke crusaders now advocating for genocide. It proves Glen has solid principles and humanity.
He's definitely not pulling any punches on this issue at all. He's been very vocally critically on Israel on this, which is pissing a lot of his viewers off. When is the last time Sam Seder ever took a stand on an issue that might even slightly anger his audience?
Whether you are on the left or right, if you could only curb your instinct to preach to others in faraway places what they can and cannot do in the situations they face, the world would be better off. Please let the world be better off.
Why is it walking a tight rope? Blaming all Palestinians for the actions of Hamas, is like blaming all Russians for Putin's actions, or all Chinese for the pandemic.
@@TheHuxleyAgnosticit could be just cynicism, but I'm not super keen on believing that Glen is motivated by anything but "Israel is the US's ally and my material interests are based on the US losing it's current political hegemonic power"
Dude...what are you talking about? Everyone is dragging him for being a despicable coward and hypocrite. Even his staff are quitting over it. I haven't see a single person excuse his disgusting behavior
Glenn's commentary was really good on The Vanguard this week if I recall correctly. They helped keep him in line a bit during the interview. He knows he can't complain about wokeness to the same applause around the Vanguard boys or other leftist commentators. There were a couple of times he almost kinda maybe came off the tightrope a little bit, but i still maybe sensed some concern in him about how the other half would perceive his statements. Maybe I'm wrong here, but I think Glenn Greenwald is generally an honest guy who just has some questionable opinions and wants to be able to reach the left AND the right with his commentary. If that's the case I commend it even though I vehemently disagree with some of Glenn's opinions in recent years. Now if he's just walking that tightrope to grift then obviously that's gross.
He's just a Milton Friedman style Libertarian. He has some ok views on civil liberties it's the other half of his political identity that drives him into the arms corporate fascists
Even in a world where online cancel culture never existed we would still see these same type of censorship and condemnation for pro-Palestinian voices we are seeing now. This is not a new phenomenon and it has very little to do with online cancel culture.
Compared to Greenwald's descriptions and coverage of these ideas/issues/events over the last couple weeks, watching this vid is like listening to two 5 year-olds discuss string theory.
There's no such thing as cancel culture unless you're talking about conservatives stifling dissent, busting up unions, and all the deaths that are caused by conservative policies
Or maybe there's both?! And considering Biden stopped any sort of peace talks with Ukraine/Russia, I'd say you better start looking at both sides and holding them equally accountable.
Hey boss, please do one on those phone calls random people in gaza calling them (you know who) and saying we're hiding inside hospitals come hit us, pretty weird, it's on the official channel, next they'll upload a call between a toddler calling and saying they are hiding behind me.. 🙄 Oretty weird i think
Based on a completely unscientific, review of college party experiences in the 90s, remembered through the haze of being a little d* at the time....I blame it all on Ivy League Poli Sci Majors....the original 'debate bros'. "Poli-Sci Major🙄" was sufficient warning amongst me an my classmates. I'm sure there are a bunch that are FAB...but I DO indeed hear "OH no! This is Sooooo interesting! But...... I forgot I was supposed to help my friend at the keg, gotta go!" in my head, a little too often when listening to all the "Theories".
Its not 10 people pulling down posters. Its substantially more...you can get so many examples and videos. I hate when mr dismisses valid problems and issues by pretending it is essentially non-existent
The issue is Palestinians having their land being systematically stolen by Israel. A few posters being torn down might be in bad taste, but calling it a problem is a pretty big stretch.
