Glennon is full of fire and wisdom in this interview! Use these quick links to catch the highlights: 2:00 - The moment Glennon first laid eyes on Abby - & what happened next. 5:08 - How “Untamed” got away with breaking ALL the conventional publishing rules. 9:50 - How a dirty pink bunny changed Glennon’s life forever. 15:35 - The Motherhood Myth that keeps parents unknowingly harming their kids. 21:15 - How Glennon finally learned to face big, hard feelings. 26:40 - Why anger and heartbreak are necessary to change the world. 33:48 - How to rediscover your true self. 41:00 - What to do when people criticize your authenticity. 42:18 - Why we tend to dislike bold, confident women (and what to do about it!). Like this episode? I talked to Glennon’s wife, Abby Wambach, about her book, Wolfpack. Watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ILpcD7UwpE.html

Hi Marie, I love, love, love your work! Hi Reiko! So glad to find you here! I also live in Tokyo, close to Shibuya, Shinagawa, and Jiyugaoka. I’m a big fan of Marie and have been following her since 2015. I also started her b-school in the same year. Where in Tokyo do you live? Wouldn’t that be so cool to meet up with you locally here in Tokyo during the next b-school in 2021? She brought tears to my eyes. I recently divorced and I live alone with my 5 year old son and he keeps on asking me when is his dad coming back home so we can be a family again. In the begining I was "okay" with my divorce, facing it tall, proud and strong...but society and my sons insistence made me thing (this last weekend by the way), that maybe I had made a mistake. Maybe divorce was not the answer, maybe it was me who "failed" and not him. This video made me cry because I now see, yes, I failed myself for accepting so much and for degrading myself for 7 years. I wont say it has been easy because it has not, but the peace I feel and how I can now do my things freely, makes it all worth it. Thanks you for inspiring me more and for giving me new strenght to go on the path I have chosen.

Thanks for your transparency. I separated from my ex in 2018. My son is now 6 and even though things are way better now he still very frequently asks about us all being a family again. It is hard. My ex thinking co-parenting is him seeing his son on weekends for 4 hours is a joke. Some days I do have weak moments and the “what if’s” come back. But they are lies. It’s hella tough but my mental sanity and my son seeing me free is way more important than a marriage.

Part of what she talks about in her book is that “we can do hard things” and that’s a big theme of hers. She talks about how it’s not hard because we’re doing it wrong, it’s hard because we’re finally doing it right and doing things right, listening to our inner knowing and breaking free from a caged life we’ve become accustomed to is hard, it’s very hard - but it’s a sign we’re finally doing things right. And if we can teach our children to listen to their knowing and do things right from the beginning maybe it won’t be so hard for them - it’s just hard for us because we’re learning it as adults / she also talked about how she stayed in her first marriage for her kids but then one day she looked at her daughter and thought “I’m staying in this marriage for her, but would I want this marriage for her?” And that changed her thinking - idk just wanted to share some of G’s insights, I hope it helps and I hope you and your son get through this hard time together and come out even better

Dearest women in this beautiful conversation, don’t be happy to be sad or in the same situation but be happy for the acknowledge of the situation so you can make something about it and move (on, up... is really up to you 🥰) Also, it is not our mothers fault. They did want the thought it was best for us, what they thought it will work best for us, because it was what she was taught. It is our duty to walk that path of self discovery in order to be wild again! Wishing you all the best! 😊

My mom lived as a martyr and it ruined our relationship because she was bitter and resentful and mean. I started that way, because you do what you’ve seen and quickly realized I was dying. I stopped giving myself up and found people who supported me coming back to life. And I’m a whole person, and the people and children (my children) around me see that.

Well, I can see what my triggers and wounds are all about when after watching this interview and feeling utterly stirred, a snarky voice inside my head said: easy for this woman to become untamed when she is obviously wealthy and has an abundance of resources. I’m seeing that my own self-made cage has much to do with money and the belief that I can’t fully return to the untamed woman I long for because I can’t afford it.

I was raised by an Angry Single Mother, it has taken me more than 40 years to escape the effects of that childhood. I subsequently raised my Daughter as a Loving Single Father and I could not be prouder, at 23 she became CEO of her own Logistics Company, appeared on National TV and took control of her life. I can relate and agree with everything Glennon says, however, there is a real danger of Women becoming overly aggressive. When your heart is filled with love there is no room for hate. Don't get mad, get even.

I came here AFTER reading Untamed and oh wow, it’s just so good! I recently wrote more than ten chapters of my own truth laced into fiction, unfortunately I lost this work and I have been in such a depressive funk about the loss, but now I’m feeling a different direction. The previous work was heavy for me and the writing process helped me work out a lot of heavy trauma. Now I feel ready to take my story to a new real untamed level! Also that feeling of being underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time makes SO much sense to me!!!!

I'm sorry that you are going through this. I believe it's important to feel your loss, feel your grief, and share with children all your emotions you're feeling. Let them in, lean into them, and show them that grieving emotions are healthy.

Untamed, Glennon evoked the process of untaming right from the preface. Having hell of a week shifting and listening to Knowing which way to go. Thank you Glennon! You stuff is truly terrifying but so tasty and good.

That question about the vision of my most beautiful and joyful life got me all in tears. Thank you for that. A massive sign I'm probably tamed. I've just realised I'm even tamed when I'm making videos for my channel. Thinking I've got to filter myself. F that!!! Thank you for this conversation. It's my friends bday. Getting one copy for myself and one for her. Hopefully they already have it here in the bookstore in the UK. Lots of love 💜🙏🏻

The truest most beautiful thing that I can imagine is that I am able to meet more people through deep conversations that, in reality, are also suffering from similar things to I am. For example, finding another sensitive feminine straight man to relate to is a true gift, and I know there are more out there who call bs on male stereotypes and expectations. Thank you, Marie and Glennon, love you both so much!

Thank you both for this AMAZING interview. My truest, most beautiful story about my life that I can imagine? I'm fully myself, connected to my body, intuition, and purpose, spending lots of time outside, dancing, playing, filled with love for myself and the world, and using my voice to share what I know to be true with the world-- regardless of how it's received.

I loved this interview!!! I will definitely get this book and others to share with my friends so they too can be f'ing cheetahs !!! My dream is that I get awesome clients, one especially that is truly handsome, talented and on my spiritual wavelength that I can help, share and teach but he can teach me as well. as I always learn too. I love what you all shared about it not having to happen right now but applying, lending and extending the energy to become the person ready for the experience. Everything happens in Divine time. Great inspiring teachers though are a must!!! Thanks ladies!

We are all captive of the world girls and boys. Parents try to control the wild and wonderful beauty and natural potential of our children...to put them in little small boxes and not let them be who they already are. Children are born inspired and have much to teach us. We must listen and respect them and learn from them and let them think freely. Lives will change and heart and mind will become one. The flow of life goes on and on.
