When the lighting is right the dust from the dragging tow rope will show the tow plane's "Wingtip Vortices." Looks cool.

I remember "3 1000 ft tows for $20." Practice pattern and landings.

Does a Pawnee have "Cowl Flaps?" Temperature control on decent is another factor for the pilot. Tow pilots get down fast but i swear the Twin Otter Jump Plane at California City could be on the ground before the jumpers. (Beta Thrust.)
