As a civil engineering student , I m feeling really proud that's govt gives us a reason to proud , I recently watch biography of sardar Patel , they are most underrated leader ,they deserve really this type of big statue which reminds us what a big personality he was , but Congress promote Nehru which is really wrong Nehru is failed leader (lost territory POK,Aksai chin) , second i m engineering student really india need this type of structure which renovate and rebuild the whole engineering culture burj Khalifa ,Hoover dam this type structure of engineering change engineering and influence engineering for a long time . So state and centre govt take a worthy step ☺️ apprietiatable

Inse puri duniya me india ka aur Gujarat ka danka baj gaya hai..jo log garibo ko paisa baatne wali baat krte hai unse me kahunga ki paisa baatna nahi, kamaana padta hai.. @@MrSattu008 tender of coffee shop and other eateary outlets are allowed only to small business man and MSME . Village near this Dam get benefited because of this statue and continuous tourist foot fall. Slowly areas neardy will also get developed.

There is dire poverty in USA, Canada and Europe, thst doesn't mean that these countries do not fund their multi million programmes of developing ammunition...Poverty can not be eradicated completely, no matter what..so let India be known by some of gigantic statues...

How many of indians go to govt. Hospitals, public libraries and universities.. This is a brilliant engineering achievement... Respect our engineers.. Respect SARDAR VALLABH BHAI PATEL.. IF YOU CAN'T THEN MY FRIEND READ HISTORY, LITTLE SCIENCE AND ECONOMICS... It is an achievement Edit: this statue is made from donations... Of metals, funds etc.. People went door to door for this donation.. I know this because they came to our places.. And govt hospitals have infrastructure and good doctors, but we choose Luxury over it and go to private clinics and hospitals.. also this is not intervening hospital construction.. India has 35,416 Government hospitals in India.. 6 new AIIMS are approved for further construction.. and we know private hospitals are much more in number.. so don't cry for hospitals as people from African countries and asian countries fly down to cure themselves.. Those are "Indian" doctors who cure them.. @Ishita Pandey....If the Gujarat government had decided to use the money to clear slum and build houses for the poor instead of constructing this large statue, people like you would have praised the government's decision. You would have posted a comment like..."We should have a lot of respect for the freedom fighters, but that does not mean that we should waste crores of money on a statue when that money is badly needed for the welfare of the poor. The government did the right decision....blah blah..." Go swallow your words.
Why don't people go to government hospitals? You know why, because you too don't. Government hospitals infrastructure is not good enough we don't find it useful and trustworthy because the government doesn't spend the money in recruiting good doctors providing enough wages and good infrastructure rather they build some statues like this and waste huge amount of money.
