So grad I got to see this. On my second month with my Optune. Finished my Radiation and will take my last Chemo in 4 months and then another MRI. I pray every day that I will kill off my tumors.

I lost my dad in 2012 to glioblastoma. He was 69 when diagnosed. He started chemo and radiation treatment and a pill which they normally use. I forget the name. I wish this device was around then. It was still in trial stages. The chemo and radiation kept my dad alive longer. But!!! He didn’t have quality of life. He wasn’t in any pain but he was tired and slept a lot. Like most glioblastoma patients he slipped into a coma then passed away peacefully. The only thing I’m happy about is it seemed to be a painless cancer and painless death.

Exactly my Dad's story, it was 2012 and he was 68, but he was happy, pain free and passed away peacefully

So it's now August 2022...a follow-up video would set people's minds at ease. My husband was diagnosed in May and we are going through kemo and radiation at the moment. He's not going to be able to make it without some help with this devise should he decide to wear it.

Our son will be 56 years old tomorrow. He was diagnosed in October 2019 with Glioblastoma. He went through Radiation and then was given the cap to wear 18 hours per day every other day along with Chemotherapy. He’s now off the cap and riding his bike every day. He walks the dog twice per day, grocery shops, drives and is able to enjoy and play with his grandchildren! We feel very Blessed.

This cap is amazing. Wish it had been available when my husband had this horrible disease

I've seen several testimonials on this device and I'm not trying to crush anyone's hope, or say it isn't work for anyone, but doing follow up research on the folks telling their experiences with optune, mostly all of them passed away and most were within a year- year and a half after diagnosis. It may be some more time, but not much. I don't think it's a breakthrough treatment for most

Did they stop using it? Yes they did. The majority that had reoccuences after using the Optune, stopped using it after they were declared in remission. The folks that are still with us still use it daily. Don't just give half the story, tell everything.

The more you wear it the more effective it is. I’m 25 months out progression free. I wear it 95-98% of the time.

They could offer this to more patients. My husband was told he had "to wait" until the chemo didn't work and they knew wouldn't work was tried. In other words, despite having the funds, he was denied!!!! Cleveland Clinic denied my husband the ability to live. They denied our teen son to have is father around to watch him finish high school.

Helen Rogers Not every patient is an ideal candidate for it.

@@stellablue6076 Yes, he was a candidate!! The doctor refused because he wanted to go by "standard protocol" first. Meaning a different chemo. A different chemo that has not cured a single person with glioblastoma!

Helen Rogers I’m sorry for your loss. Unfortunately sometimes it’s up to the patient & caregiver to advocate for what they want need. GBMs are awful.

@@persistentapparartionkitty5830 oof, im sorry man. You're one hundred percent correct though. I have a sister that was an EMS for 20 years. We don't speak anymore, she's gladly let people die in her carrer. I won't go into detail but thats just to say, i know you speak truth. Law enforcement and the medical industry are rife with psychopathic monsters.

Thats great now how do they make them affordable to the average person.

Last I read Optune had passed its last Medicare/Medicaid hurdles. Now they just need to remove the erroneous restrictions that limit it to patients that have only tried standard chemo/radiation first. No surprise it never works but many die for they can even be approved to try optune... as saddly shown by those left behind in the comments section here.

why??? is there no cure?? that's crazy
@ATSucks1
@ATSucks1 3 года назад
Their is a cure. That little electro hat is one but not the only one. The real problem is doctors unfamiliar with it dislike recomending it and insurances wont pay the doctor for infusion treatments if a person is just using a frequency emitter of some kind. No money in the cure but trillions made off treaments.

It's basically because brain is the most delicate part of the body which control whole other parts managing them with their actions....so it's very risky to operate on and even if u remove the tumor it has already spread its cells far away to other parts in the brain which u can't identify. The brain would be the last place where you'd want a tumor to be if at all.....coz nobody wants this disease
