OHHHHH YOU have no idea how happy I am at this time... YOU are a God-send... I am about to redo a 1985 Class A RV... I have flipped 24 RVs and this one might be my last (I keep saying that)... This RV is SOOOOO Bad that my brother Gave it to me!!!! 34 years of UGLY... The fiberglass bathtub/shower looks like what you started with... I would have NEVER thought in a million years you could have done this... Your's turned out so Beautiful... Question: Did you only do one coat or did you do a clear over the glitter/epoxy? ... and... How much glitter did you use? Thank you for sharing this... So Happy!!!!

Thanks for this! I am planning on refurbishing my bathroom sink and I cant detach it from my wall because the mirror is attached... I was trying to find a way to do the back lip....

I am BACK... And even Happier than before!!! I thought of this video this morning because not only am I working on my 1985 RV... I now have a Vintage 1972 Aristocrat Travel Trailer and I'm going to do your method on it too!!!! Question: Do you think I can do the wall on the inside of the tiny travel trailer??? Be still my heart... I'm so excited... You are a God-send.. This video is so GREAT.. Thank you again, for sharing this...

Hello Judi Sounds like fun! We have done a number of wall projects and posted them on Glitter University. You will not want to use epoxy to do a wall but there are a number of other mediums that work well. www.glitteruniversity.com/apps/search?q=wall Hope that helps!

No kit. We just picked a number of our glitters that would work well together. I think it took around 4 ounces total (a few different colors). www.bulkglitters.com/Glitter_For_Floors_Menu.html

How has this held up? Doesn't look like a very thick coat, I wasn't sure if it would crack. Thanks :)

It is still really in good shape. No cracking of any kind. One time some lime away got on one part of it overnight. It just etched it a bit but it still looks really sparkly and pretty.

I'm confused on how you to the color. The epoxy comes clear. Did you first painted it the color you wanted and then added the epoxy with mix glitters?

You add glitter to achieve the color. In this case it was several different glitters to get the colors we wanted. No tinting beyond the glitter was used.

You can use mica powder and mix it in with epoxy before you pour.

So you didn't have to do a Primer on the fiberglass??? That is so cool...

This was an old plastic pan. It had scratches and the surface was rough. If it had been brand new we would have roughed it up first. It is always a good idea to give epoxy something to grip onto.

There are many brands of epoxy out there that love cement. You could definitely do it! Just be sure to get your cement very clean and etch it according to the epoxy manufacturers instructions (it is not hard).

how many oz of epoxy did you use for the whole thing?

I think it was around 8 ounces of epoxy and 4 oz of glitter.

Can you do this over a shower Tile floor?

This is more of a question for the epoxy manufacturer. They will probably say no to play it safe. If you rough up the tiles and give them some tooth the epoxy may attach but I would do a test if possible before you try it.

Actually, it really isn't at all. However, there are clear additives that are available if you want to create a light texture. People who make floor epoxy often sell it.
