GLM & Stamp not only produce exquisite 1/43 resin scale models, but they are also enthusiastic supporters of the hobby. #Cadillac #Toyota #BMW #scale models
It is indeed a beautiful model. I have resin in my collection and have learned to appreciate them for their crisp lines and exact detail. White metal has it's own personality as well.
Hi, any idea if Stamp is planning any more 1:18 scale models? I just got my ‘76 Fleetwoods this week in dark blue and gold and they are stunning.! Easily among my favorites in my collection. The price is high but if they continue to do great subjects like this in great detail I will continue to buy more. I would love a ‘76 Buick Electra sedan in 1:18 (I see they are going to do the coupe in 1:43) so maybe?
Okay, Thanks. I agree if these ‘76 Fleetwoods are any indication and the models they have chosen for 1:43 scale thus far, I would say the future for 70’s land yachts in 1:18 scale looks bright!
Beautiful, precious, near to perfect, but EXTREMELY FRAGILE. If you take the car with your hands and your fingers are humid, the "chromes" will come off and stick to your hand; windshield wipers, antennas, bumpers, front and tail lights, medallions, grilles, insignias, hood ornamets, etc, break and drop off very easily too. I know these are not toys to play with, but their extreme fragility is unbearable. Only way to preserve these cars is to unbox them with extreme care, place them on a shelf and not even touch them ever more in your life. DINKY TOYS were very primitive and imperfect in design and finish, but were nuclear blast proof.
You're 100% correct. It's the price we pay for this level of detail. Many folks display them with the dust cover on or in an enclosed cabinet and handle them only by their bases.
That's what makes me angry about the 143 scale cars the fragile part of them and you're paying a $100 a car you would think they hold up, I have lots of 118th scale cars and they can be delicate too if you drop them but you can touch them pick them up you can dust them can open doors up it's much better even my 1 32nd scale slot cars are not that bad they're plastic but they look great and also Hot Wheels you don't have to worry about those either 164 scale
