Great video. I agree with your assessment of each light's pros/cons. The BriteStrikes are very interesting. They would be excellent additions to a survival kit for emergency light and for signaling, and all this capability for very little weight and bulk. Also, I commute via bicycle and I really like the idea of putting a few of these on my frame/helmet for added safety. I've been on the receiving end of a bike/car collision and now I'll do anything to avoid a repeat of that. Cheers.
Hello mate. Yes Ive had a few crashes too, motorbike to car in my case. Never again. Anything that increases my visibility is always a good idea. I would avoid the white one for the back of a helmet as it is more likely to be distracting to other drivers. I have decided that from now on Ill be running mine in constant on mode. Still makes me visible but less irritating to other people's eyes. Thanks for your comment.
Helllo Gillian, thanks for watching So maybe it's a GloToob for area lighting/camp tasks and the BriteStrike for signalling. That would work for me. Cheers Alex
It seems as though many of the Glo Toobs have been discontinued. Any idea why? It looked great in your review. I was becoming interested in a lithium one I saw on their site. However, you can’t get it anymore.
during desert storm we encountered an underwater minefield. (boom) the minesweeper ran out of floating smoke pots for signalling purposes. so they started using weighted milk jugs with a chem lights attached. the idea was dont run over the lights in the water (boom)
Alright mate, enjoyed that video. quick question - do you know anywhere where you can buy the APALS BriteStrike singularly? i can only find packs of ten and theyre like 20 quid. all i want is two green ones.
