Despite the pandemic and calls for a global ceasefire, the number of people forced to flee due to conflict, war and persecution has reached a record-breaking 82.4 million in 2020 - a figure that has doubled over the last decade. Several crises - some new, some resurfacing after years - forced people to flee within or beyond the borders of their country.
Behind each number is a person forced from their home. World leaders must act to reverse this trend of soaring displacement.
