New viewer/subscriber to the channel. I really enjoy that you don’t make blanket statements such as “this trigger sucks”. You clearly articulate your preferences about the trigger and why you (the reviewer) may not be as used to the platform and how it resets. I value this very highly, it gives the watcher much more value than “I don’t like it”. Thank you, such a breath of fresh air.
That’s great feedback, thank you. We love guns in general so it’s a challenge to articulate minor grievances when we come across them. But shooting as many different guns as we do, we also have a good base for comparison.
With the passing of Gaston, I'm looking for changes in the product line. I would bet his philosophy was, "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" because let's face it, he had a FAT bank account and a good looking woman half his age. He was happy.
Glock doesn’t need to change. Yes it’s boring. Yes people enjoy other systems. Yes other systems do some things better. However, anyone who actually knows what they are doing will say, yes I enjoy other things but when the struggle reaches my door I will grab my Glock.
Good shooting, I compete with the 17L in GSSF matches, it is almost like cheating. I have 2 gen 3 17L's and 1 gen 5. I love the trigger, as they come with a minus connector. I am toying with the idea to try the performance trigger in the gen 5 with and without the minus connector
Have you tried out the glock performance trigger? For my standard g17gen5 it made a huge difference. Crisp break and didn't have that safety pushing against your finger in a not so comfy way, quite the contrary. Thanks anyway for the review! I'm really thinking of getting the g17l as well.
If glock put their best trigger in from the factory. They couldn’t get you with their performance trigger upgrade.🤷🏻♂️I’m a big glock fan and shoot the big framed g20 better than any other pistol I own. So this 17L looks like a real winner to me.
The only thing that I don't like about the 17l is how available it is now. I waited for years to purchase one and ordered my first one from the Glock store. Three months later I find another Gen3 in a favorite gunstore and purchased it. Now the gen 5 are out in every gun store local to me. These guns were supposed to be rare I own 3 17ls and owning them is like owning any other Glock pistol now
Great video, Thanks!! How about your thoughts on the Shadow Systems DR 920L compared to the 34 & 17L please? Would really love to hear your opinion since I respect it...... Thanks again.
Every Glock I own I’ve had to take a razor knife and trim that trigger safety so it’s flush and doesn’t poke into my finger it’s way better, of course when you do this you have to make sure you depress the trigger safety all the way down and hold it with something behind the trigger before you trim it or you will screw your safety up but believe me it is a lot nicer.👈🤨
Just seems like a really unnecessary length if you're running a dot. A 47 or regular 17 shoots so close to a 34 youre splitting hairs on the difference. Might be a good production gun with irons if its allowed but even still, I don't think the trade off is really there for me personally.
@@pewpewtactical a bit snarky but if it’s not better than the original or better than the previous generation then what’s the point of issuing another iteration?
